Why family is considered the most important agent of socialization?

As we all know family is the basic unit of society, and that’s make sense it is the
foundation to what we call society. This social institution includes the economy, religion,
education, politics, or governmental health care or medicine. The family unit has specific
functions in relation to its members and to the total society Denise Owen (2020).

And because of that family has the big influence in the socialization process of an
individual from the manner of dressing, way living, habit, and etc. And also family is the main
agent of socialization. The book on Principles of Sociology by C.N.Shankar Rao is one of the
best books for mention to make a strong establishment on sociology. I would like to type the
answer taken from the above book for your quick reference- The process of socialization begins
for every one of us in the family. At this time, the parental and particularly the nurturing
influence (mother) on the child are very great. The parents are the first persons to introduce to
the child the beliefs of his group Nivedita (2019).

Therefore, its considered that family is the most important agent of socialization it where
an individual is molded, nurtured, and feel love. They are the primary source of learning and we
owe a lot to them because they open the world to us.
