5. Explain Chaos Theory which causes consistent, profitable stock picking to become
exponentially difficult
6. Describe what is Butterfly Effect in investing and how it relates to Globalization
7. Examine Cognitive Biases derailing investment performance
8. Analyze all major asset classes in the 21st century and construct a portfolio with best
return certainty, consistency and capital preservation over multiple bull & bear cycles

9:00 - 9:30 am The Downfall of Value investing & Modern Portfolio Theory (hail the
new contender - Game Theory)
 Examine why investing using fundamental & technical analysis
does not work as well in modern day, the risk associated with it
and instances where it fails. Dissects why Modern Portfolio Theory
is outdated in modern day investing; and how Game Theory
becomes more relevant when it comes to delivering Alpha in the
long term, ignoring fundamentals or market timing

Swans
 How to identify economic crashes & boom before they land;
understand what stage on the economic cycle you are at, impacts
to different asset classes and their profitability so that you can take
the appropriate actions for your investment portfolio and your
clients'. Explain how outlier events happen, why it is most
disastrous to investment portfolio, why it eludes the best of
investors and how to best manage the risk.

relate to Investing. Understand how to manage clients'
expectations and maximize client retention before things spin out

12:15 – 1:00 pm Butterfly Effect & Globalization in Investing - Everyone has Zero
Immunity
 Understand what Butterfly effect is, and how globalization
presents heightened volatility risk to any form of investment
portfolio regardless of asset classes, geographical regions or
business sectors.

2:00 - 3:30 pm Duality of Man - the ‘Marvel’ factor & Face off with the Worst Nemesis in
Investing
 Dissect the Innate Weakness of Human Psychology in Investing,
and explores the 18 Most Common Cognitive Biases which Derails
Investment Performance. Further, develop awareness to regulate
and tame the inner demon within thyself before advising others.
Understands what constitutes a Perfect Investor and how to
identify the Traits you lack so you can engage someone who can
complement your strength to normalize investing risks.

 Analyze, Benchmark and Compare all major asset classes in the
world in the 21st century. Identify the asset class which provides
the best return certainty & consistency and capital preservation
over multiple ups and down cycles. Understand the real baseline
of a world-class CAGR, and finally, construct an investment
portfolio which matches the world best investor(s).

Profile of Mr. Lieu Ching Foo

Lieu Ching Foo, is currently a Financial Planning Manager at Cheng & Co Wealth Management, a
division of Cheng & Co Chartered Accountants and a practice office of Standard FA. He obtained
CFP in 2013, with FPAM Merit Award in Module 6: Financial Plan Construction & Professional
Responsibilities.

His specialization is fees-based financial planning, because CF Lieu, believes that every
household should have a comprehensive, custom-tailored financial plan, where each aspects of
your financial matters below must be coordinated and integrated so that we can see with clarity,
the cause & effect of one aspect affecting the others.

He has conducted virtual educational trainings on REIT investment with students all over
Malaysia via his online membership site at REITMethod.com since 2013. He has written
numerous articles in REIT investment and financial planning, which have been published in
Money Compass magazine and StarProperty.my.
