Baby Ladybug Toy

Materials:

– 1 Red Heart Super Saver – Black (A)

– 1 Red Heart Super Saver – Red (B)

– 1 Red Heart Super Saver – White (C)

– Hook size: H

– Yarn needle

– Fiberfill stuffing

– Scissors

- 5 Large jingle bells

Stitches you need to know:

ch=chain, sc=single crochet, slst= slip stitch, magic ring

Ladybug Rattle
Head:
With A ch 2

Round 1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.

Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)

Round 3: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (18)

Round 4: *sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (24)

Round 5-9: sc in ea sc around.

Round 10: *sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc; repeat from* around. (24)

Round 11: *sc2tog, sc in next 2sc; repeat from* around. (18)

Embroider eyes and mouth.

Fill halfway with stuffing, add large bell , then continue to stuff around bell until head is full.

Fasten off . Leave tail for attaching.

Body:
With B ch 2

Round 1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.

Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)

Round 3 – 45: sc in ea sc around.

stuff with fiberfill (using a the back of a pencil can help with pushing the stuffing all the way down)

Stuff until firm.

Fasten off leave tail for attaching.

Make a shape like in the photo below attach where shown.

Antennae:
With A ch 9

sc in 3rd ch from hook sc in ea sc to end. Fasten off leave tail for attaching.

Dots (Make 6):

With A make a magic ring

Make 6 sc in magic ring.

Tighten ring slst in 1st sc.

Leave tail to attach to body.
