ESSAY BRIEF
Assessments must be all your own work and must not have been copied in part or in
whole from any other source, such as books or the internet, or from other students’ work.
If you wish to use another author’s exact words in a short quotation this must be clearly
marked up in inverted commas with the exact source given, including page number, so that
the reader can clearly see which words have been copied and are not your own.
If you paraphrase you also need to acknowledge the exact source used (in brackets).
Instructions:
You need to write a 1,000-word written essay in English that answers the essay
question. Essay title will appear on Prado (module’s area) on Friday, 31st March,
2023.
It should have a clear structure, with ideas organised into different paragraphs and
sections.
It should include primary quotation and secondary references.
You will need to reference and quote according to the MLA Style guide. Use Arial 12
and 1.5 line spacing.
Engage critically with primary and secondary material, producing a piece of writing
which coherently articulates an analytical response (please do avoid unnecessary
summarising of content or author’s life).
Regarding your use of English:
1. You need to bring a paper copy of your essay to the session on: 4 May, 2023.
AND
2. Prado online submission: To be submitted via Turnitin: 2 May, 2023: anytime before
7:30pm.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Failure to do 1 (bring a paper copy of your essay to the session) and 2 (online
submission of your essay) will mean that you’ll receive a 0 mark for this
assignment.
The essay that you’ll bring to the session must be exactly the same essay that you
will have to upload onto Prado on 2 May.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
