Detailed Lesson Plan in English

(Using Marungko Approach)

Grade III-A

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the pupils must have at least 85% of proficiency in;
a. Recognizing objects and names of objects with the beginning letter Ss
b. Drawing or tracing the symbol of letter Ss
c. Recognizing the objects around us with the beginning letter Ss
d. Developing the knowledge in letter Ss

II. Subject Matter/ Learning Content


A. Topic: Letter Ss
B. Content Standard: demonstrate knowledge of the alphabet and decoding to
read, write and spell correctly.
C. Performance Standard: applies grade level phonics and word analysis skills in
reading, writing and spelling words.
D. Learning Competency: demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the
organization and basic feature of print.

III. Learning Resources:


A. Materials: Pictures of different objects beginning with letter Ss, Activity
Sheets.
B. Values Focus: Recognizing different objects around us and its relevance.
C. Teaching Strategy: Using Marungko Approach
