A WORD FROM A SQUADDIE...

Welcome In! “This brand new company” and indeed this brand new show! Thank you for coming to see
‘We Are Such Stuff’ today and supporting our new venture.

The genesis of ‘We Are Such Stuff’ has been a little over 7 months, with the idea forming in late 2014,
and the final notes completed just one week before we opened. Needless to say, it’s been a whirlwind,
but of course also an incredibly exciting process.

The Voice Squad formed almost 22 years ago and having enjoyed many fabulous experiences, from
‘BBC Choir of the Year’ Finalists to performances at the London Palladium, Royal Festival Hall, Royal
Albert Hall, and just about every church in Suffolk. This year marks our Edinburgh Fringe debut and we
are proud to be making it in one of the most successful and busiest years in its history.

On a more personal note, this show marks my first solid compositions in nearly two years, and what is
more exciting, my orchestration debut. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities this show has
afforded me, and although I will not be with the show in Edinburgh I am proud to know that I will be a
part of this brand new creation.

Once again, thank you for coming to support a brand new musical venture. This show is all about
dreams, and I can truly say it has been a dream of mine to work on a show like this. I hope you find ‘We
Are Such Stuff’ as intriguing, intricate and enjoyable as we have found writing it.

Nicholas Sheehan (Co-Composer, Orchestrator)

AND FROM BIRGITTA...

As a person with a low boredom threshold, I frequently find myself in the midst of new, awesome and
sometimes overawing adventures. My love and gratitude goes to the current Squad and Support team,
who both inspired and made possible this new undertaking, which for me is indeed a dream come
true....with potential for plenty of nightmares along the way! Wish us luck for our Edinburgh debut. We
plan to return in one piece…
We are SO grateful to Gary Willis and Aidan Noonan for their support at Conservatoire EAST in our home town of Bury St
Edmunds, and to Martha Jordan, and the Paradise and Sanctuary teams for being so helpful and patient with us newcomers.
