What is NS2 in ?
NS2 stands for Network Simulator Version 2. The NS2 is one of the open-source
event-driven simulator. In specifically NS2 for perform the research in computer

simulates both wired and wireless network. For make a simulation we write code

2. Download and install ‘Oracle VM virtual box’

Download and install ‘Oracle VM virtual box’ from the following link. By use this
link we can download the virtual box-6.1.22 version

3. Download ubuntu

Now download ubuntu from the following link, by use this link , we can download
the ubuntu-20.04 version

4. Open oracle VM Virtual box
Open ‘new’ button on the top left corner of the VM Virtual Box window
5. Virtual Box window

Click on the ‘new’ button on the top left corner of the VM Virtual Box window and
perform the process of name the operating system and select the linux operating
system and ubuntu as os version
6. Select the Memory Size
Click on the Next select the Memory Size from the list
7. Create Virtual Hard Drive
Click on the Next create a Virtual Hard Drive to be use
8. Select Hardware File Type
Click on the Next Select Hardware File Type
9. Virtual Hard Drive name size
Now Create your Virtual Hard Drive name by clicking on the screen
10. File Location and Size
Click on the Choose to File Location and Size
11. Create your virtual machine
Now Create your virtual machine by clicking on the create button
12. Install Ubuntu to the virtual machine

Now Install Ubuntu to the virtual machine by loading the ‘ubuntu-20.04-


desktop.amd64.iso’ file to the virtual machine(which you have downloaded earlier
or you can download it from the link given below
www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop )
13. Get Start Ubuntu to the virtual machine
On the press button, Now click on the start button
