What is mentoring?
A professor with abundant knowledge and experiences guides and develops the
student's ability
- Understanding oneself objectively, setting life goals and coaching throughout the
process

Advantages and content of mentoring


- Communication with advisor, overcoming stress with graduate school, direct advice such
as study & career (employment, study abroad) & life
- Career setting, personal issues (family or friends), difficult problems to solve, difficult
tasks, etc.
※ Main Points of Mentoring with Advisor
- Participate faithfully in mentoring (preparing the topic for discussion, keeping the
appointment time well, etc.)
- If your mentor does not mention mentoring, ask for mentoring.

Advisor mentoring
For foreign students, registration of the report and mentoring will be
applied to the students who entered UST 2018 Spring
When to participate: from entrance to graduation
How to implement
- Your Professor is mentoring based on personal development plan, results of brain
aptitude test (BOSI test)
- Mentoring meeting must be done at least twice per semester
- Registration of Mentoring Results : Register on the Career development webpage 1 (one
week before the end of the semester)
- The results of the mentoring are written by advisor, and the results of the mentoring can
be shared with the student

• Log in using portal system ID (student ID) and password (6 digits of birth date + asf)

Procedure : My page ⇒ Manage My Career ⇒ Manage My Resume

• Personal information and education information registered in the portal system,


foreign language, certification, and awards can be viewed on this screen.
• To change the information, the information of the portal system must be modified.

• Enter The Description of your growth, Strengths and Weaknesses, Research Achievements and
Fields of interest, Personal Vision etc to be used Advisor mentoring

• The results of the brain aptitude test for new students can be confirmed and downloaded as a PDF file.
Register My Personal Plan

Procedure : Main Page ⇒ Manage My Career ⇒ Register My personal plan

• You can write a personal development plan and a personal career plan.
• You have to agree to the mentoring agreement prior to the creation of your personal plan..
• The personal plan written by the student can be confirmed by the advisor.
• The personal development plan is prepared at the time of admission, and the personal career plan
is completed at the completion of the course.
Personal Development Plan

• Until the completion of the course, the personal development plan will be used as a
reference for mentoring, After completing the course, the mentor will focus on the
personal career plan
• The more carefully you write personal plan, The professor can do more detailed mentoring
activities.
Personal Career Plan

• It is used as a reference for mentoring from the time of completion, If the direction of the
student's career is changed, the mentor's mentoring contents will be changed
Results of Advisor Mentoring

Procedure : Main page ⇒ Manage My Career ⇒ Results of Advisor Mentoring

• After mentoring with the advisor, the advisor can enter the content of the mentoring result,
and the student can confirm the content of the Results of advisor Mentoring on the current screen.
Alumini Mentoring

Procedure : Main page ⇒ Career Mentoring ⇒ Alumini Mentoring

• Alumni can receive career-related consultation by e-mail.


★★Register personal Development plan
Procedure : Main page ⇒ Manage My career ⇒ Register My Personal Plan ⇒ fill
out Personal Development Plan should be completed before New comers’ odyssey is
end.(Until the beginning of the semester)
