Russia approves second vaccine for coronavirus

The whole world is waiting several months for a vaccine for the new coronavirus. Other countries are
gradually working on their vaccines, and they are making sure that they are as safe as possible, but
Russia, unlike other countries, has already approved their second vaccine.

The question is, how can they create and approve vaccine in only months, when usually you need at
least one or more years for it? The answer is simple. Both of their vaccines (first one was already
approved on eleventh August) are not tested properly.

When you are developing a vaccine, it has to be tested on foremost on animals, then on a few
people, then on a bigger group of people and in the final stage, the vaccine is tested on tens of
thousands of people. The final stage takes months to complete, but if there are not any problem with
it, then the vaccine is generally approved to be safe. That can’t be told about both of the Russian
vaccines, which may be approved in Russia, but without the final stage of testing, which is ongoing
now.

So in fact, the race for the first generally approved safe vaccine for the new coronavirus is still going
on despite those two vaccines.
