Position Assessment: Upon my first year of leadership and being Rally Commissioner, I have a
lot of responsibilities and new things to learn. I was able to conduct the Winterfest rally along
with the Night Rally. The Winterfest Rally was to introduce the new candidates and show them
what to wear for the upcoming week. The Night Rally was for the Lip Sync battle upon the
Standing Committee: For the standing committee, I helped with signing up for different
Mentor evaluation: Since we switched mentors, my mentor and I have gone to lunch to discuss
leadership activities, ideas to bring to the table, and to get to know each other on a more personal
basis! Kiely is so sweet and I can't wait to go to lunch with her again and get to know her better!!
Concerns: Some concerns I have within the leadership program are consistency and
communication. There were many things to get done and while some were working, others were
lounging around on their phones. I think this can totally be fixed and we can get the motivation
to the level it needs to be at. Along with communication, I hear of a lot of miscommunication
within the classes. Not particularly my class, but other classes. It is one of our core principles,
but it is one of those things that can get twisted if not communicated correctly.
Positive Comments: I have felt very included in the program for my first year of leadership. I do
like the way we vocalize the positives and negatives for every event we attend or host. Along
with discussing the positives and negatives, we will be able to hear not only the peers and
teachers, personal feelings we may have, but also some of the voices from the students. We can
use this form of communication to help improve the event for next year or help improve the next
events we will host. This will help improve efficiency, communication, decorations, and
organization.
One Change I’d Like to See: One change I'd like to see within the leadership program is to
work on unifying. Having each of the classes work as a whole together and not getting upset with
each other would be really nice. Another change would be to also have more uplifting
conversations within our classes and maybe as a class as a whole. We can't spend all of this time
being so negative with each other, we need to lift eachother up and move along to improve with
one another.
My Impact: My impact I feel that I have given to the leadership program as a whole is positivity
and more creative ideas. When it came to winterfest or even within class discussions, I always
made sure to shine some light on the shady party. During the conducting of the rallies, I also
made sure to keep up with my communication within the group involved in the rallies. Another
way I have made an impact was making sure others feel heard, whether it be asking what things I
should add to the rally or somethings I can improve on, I always want others around me to feel
heard. I helped with putting my own input and putting in the works
