people. You will hear the conversations twice. They will not be printed in your test paper, so you must
listen carefully to understand what the speakers are saying. In your test paper, you will read a question
about each conversation. The question will be followed by four answers. You have to choose the best
answer to each question, and mark it on your answer sheet.

You will read : What do you learn from the conversation?

Sweden is a very large country in Northern Europe. Every year tourists come from all over the world to
visit Sweden’s cities to see the interesting sights and enjoy the outdoors.

A tourist planning a trip to Sweden can choose various activities to do. People who enjoy city life can
visit Stockholm. Sweden’s capital. Stockholm is a beautiful city of islands. In Stockholm, tourist can
visit its many beautiful old castles and churches. They can shop, enjoy the art, or see a movie or a play.

Tourists who enjoy outdoor lifestyle can find plenty to see and do in Sweden. Forests cover 50 percent
of the land and are home to many wild animals, such as bears, elks, foxes, and reindeers. Adventurous
travellers may want to explore the beautiful wilderness that Sweden has to offer.

There are several different kinds of lodging in sweden. Travellers can stay at luxurious hotels with many
guest rooms, or they can choose to stay ata small country inns, where they may be served home-cooked
breakfast. Those who want to save money and enjoy nature can stay at campsites and sleep outdoors
under the trees in a sleeping bag.

The Japanese traditional house made of wood is expected to last about twenty years before having to
be repaired or rebuilt. Each year it is depreciated.
The interior design is what really sets the Japanese traditional house. With the exception of the
entry way (genkam), the kitchen (daidokoro), the bathing room (sento) and toilet (benjo), the rooms
in a Japanese traditional house does not have a designed use.
A room can easily be a living area; a bedroom, a dining room or any other combination. Large
are partitioned by fusuma, sliding doors made of wood and thick paper. The paper for fusuma is
called washi. These sliding doors can be removed whenever a large space is needed.
In largen traditional houses, there was one large room, or ima (living space) that could be
devided as needed. The smaller rooms like kitchen, bath and toilet were small extensions to one side.
Rouka, or wooden-floored hallways, follow the edge of the home. Windows are made of wood and
shoji paper, which is thin enough to let the light shine through.
Even Japanese modern houses tend to have one traditional Japanese room, called a washitsu.
This room has tatami mats on the floor as used in Japanese traditional house. Tatami are thick straw
mats covered with stitched, woven rushes. Tatami are smooth and firm enough to walk on, while
making a sleeping surface more comfortable than wood or stone.

Antibiotic is kind of compounds both natural and synthetic, which has function to press or
stop a process of organism’s growth, particularly bacteria. Antibiotic is used to treat bacterial
infections and used as a tool for genetic engineering in biotechnology. Antibiotic works as
pesticides by pressing or break the chain of bacteria’s metabolism. Nevertheless, antibiotic is
different with disinfectant in the process to kills bacteria. Disinfectant kills bacteria by creating an
unnatural environment for germs to live.
In terms of treatment, antibiotics dubbed as “magic bullet “because antibiotic kills instantly
without injuring its sufferers. Although antibiotic is good for medication, it is not effective in
handling infection caused by viruses, fungi, or other nonbacterial.
Antibiotic has diverse types based on their effectiveness against bacteria. There are
antibiotics that target gram- negative or gram- positive bacteria and some antibiotic has wider
spectrum. The effectiveness depends on location of the infection and the ability of antibiotic to
reach location of the infection. Based on how to use, antibiotics are divided into two that are oral
antibiotics and antibiotic intradermal. An oral antibiotic is used by mouth while antibiotic
intradermal used through anus. Intradermal antibiotic is used for serious cases.
