Temporary Program Advisor


There is a temporary Program Advisor position available at The Centre for
Employment and Learning site to be determined.

Support Adult Online and Classroom Literacy programs in the areas of program
development, delivery and reporting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

● Prepares reports for management on achievement of financial and


operational targets including reports for funders;
● Identifies staff training needs and assists with staff training related to
literacy;
● Coordinates staff suggestions on identification and development of new
curriculum and improved processes and procedures;
● Plays a key role in marketing, promotion, research, curriculum and service
coordination of literacy programs;
● Under directions of Site Coordinators, provides advice and guidance to
staff with direct service delivery responsibilities;
● Contributes to business planning and funding proposals;
● Coordinates use of technology in Literacy programs;
● Monitors Literacy Practitioner caseloads and makes staffing
recommendations based on program needs; and
● Performing other job-related duties and responsibilities as required.

Job Specifications and Requirements:

● Minimum three years Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience;


● Minimum two years related work experience in Adult Learning and/or
Adult Literacy Programs;
● Proven professional written and oral communication skills;
● Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
● Initiative and motivation to ensure quality and accuracy of tasks
performed;
● Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; and
● Knowledge and understanding of Adult Learning Principles.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, 12 months per year


Rate of Pay: $26.74 per hour as per the Term and Conditions of Employment
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: March 29, 2024
