Who Is The GOAT?
MESSAGE FROM THE BUILDER
The basketball world is still caught
up in a debate over who deserves
the coveted title of "Greatest-of-All-
Time" (GOAT) player.
Fans are weighing in on the merits
of players such as James, Jordan,
Bryant, Chamberlain, Russell, and
others. While each of these
luminaries was a GOAT in their own
era, it begs the question: what are
your criteria for greatness? Are
championship rings, MVP awards,
exceptional stats, and skills enough
to earn the title?
If your answer is yes, then you're
holding our sports heroes to high
standards indeed. But let’s move
beyond the realm of sports and dig
deeper. In my view, the true GOAT
isn't the one who dominated but the
one who humbly submitted himself.
Consider Christ, who offered himself
as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. He
is the real GOAT, not just in this life,
but in the next as well. Despite our
flaws and failings, we can always
rely on God's boundless love and
mercy to see us through.

for me and you, let’s place our bet
on the ultimate GOAT who sacrificed
himself for our redemption.

Overcoming Temptation
GOSPEL REFLECTION
I remember a story of a Preacher about his
conversation with someone who has anger
issues and curse alot. The convo goes like this:
"Ano ba yan?!, Nag-a-attend ng The Feast tapos
nagmumura!!"
Then Preacher answered, “Eh, paano pa if hindi
yan umattend ng The Feast, baka nakapatay na
yan”.
Oo nga naman.
Here’s the point.
It is easy to judge people who are imperfect,
especially those who are church goers. It’s easy
for us to be too critical to them but we missed the
point of going to church. Church is not made for
the holy, church is for you and me, imperfect and
sinner. When we know that all of us have a
unique journey of following Jesus and we’re a
work in progress we will win against the
temptation of judging people.
Every single day temptation will knock at our
doorstep, inviting us to come and just fall for it.
We are tempted to complain, gossip, fall for
addiction that will satisfy our flesh and commit
sin. They are present everywhere but the
question is how do we deal with it? We don’t. We
focus on God and allow God to fight the battle for
us. The ultimate action we are called to do is to
keep our eyes on Jesus, follow Jesus and if we fail,
try harder.
God will always protect us but we have to try our
best. Let me share one tip for you to have a
stronger will to win temptation. Choose your
space! Be in a place or be with people who will
journey with you. Surround yourself with people
who will encourage you that you are stronger
than any temptation. I have a second tip for you
(based on my personal experience), The Feast
community may help you the same way it
helped me. What a great experience to grow in
Christ with a community na tanggap ka. I still fall
short at times but with the support of this
community, nagpapatuloy pa din. Andito pa rin
tayo.
