assignment on the topic Social Media Influencer Case Study (Syafiqah Aina), which

things I am thankful to them. Secondly, I would also like to thank my parents and
friends who helped me a lot in finalizing this project within the limited time frame.

I am over helmed in all humbleness and gratefulness to acknowledge my depth


to all those who have helped me to put these ideas, well above the level of simplicity

Mrs. Syafiqah Aina is one of the Malaysian Social Media Influencer. I choose her for
this assignment because of her personality, lifestyle, and her success life. Syafiqah Aina is an
Instagram celebrity who has been viral before. She is a young entrepreneur who has her own
cosmetics and clothing products.

Her full name is Nursyafiqah Aina Abdul Wahab and is better known as Syafiqah Aina.
She is a Muslim and was born on 18 June 1994 in Johor Bharu, Malaysia. This year (2022)
he is already 28 years old. Syafiqah Aina is a Bachelor of Communication graduate from
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.

Now, she is busy with her job as a Cosmetics Entrepreneur, Model, Blogger, Influencer
and Instafamous. She has been active since 2013 until now. Syafiqah Aina is already married
to someone who is also one of the influencers, namely Hafiz Mahamad. Now they have a
daughter named Raisya Arissa. Syafiqah Aina uses four social media platforms, namely
@syafiqahaina (Instagram), @syafiqahaina (Twitter), Syafiqah Aina (Facebook), and AINAA
Channel (YouTube).

1.2 LIFE JOURNEY

Syafiqah Aina’s personality has a unique quality that distinguishes her approach to
both business and modelling. Her self-assurance in front of everyone is incredibly inspiring to
others. With her key of good intention, she is finally able to brand a product, Ainaa Beauty
skincare, which is also a cosmetic product. Furthermore, with her hard work and the help of
others, the company NSA Beauty was founded on January 20th, 2018. Her husband, Hafiz
Mahammad, came up with the idea for systematic planning, which sparked a business. After
struggling with difficulties in his adolescence with his wife, Syafiqah Aina, he decided to start
his own business. Aside from that, she made a good decision when some event went viral, so
she used this opportunity to produce a cosmetic product sincerely to share the secrets of her
beauty with the public, as well as she opened job opportunities and expanded his knowledge
in the field of business by setting up such a great NSA squad. She produces a trusted product
with dermatological testing, the products such as serum, cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen
as the skincare selection has become one of the most effective skincare for the Malaysian
brand.

Syafiqah Aina was fortunate to meet her lovely husband, Hafiz Mahamad, whom she
married on November 24, 2017. Her husband had been her boyfriend since they were
teenagers, and now a beautiful baby girl named Raisya has been born. They both raised their
lovely daughter, Raisya, with love and lived in the most beautiful and luxurious house. This
romantic couple's heartwarming and romantic love story went viral once. The popularity began
when her boyfriend, Hafiz Mahamad, celebrated her birthday in the most romantic way
possible by sending a limousine car to pick her up for dinner at a luxurious restaurant in Kuala
Lumpur.

She became the founder of NSA Beauty on January 20, 2018. This company is owned
jointly by Aina and her husband, Hafiz Mahamad. Once, she developed skin problems such
as dullness, redness, and allergic skin reactions as a result of wearing a lot of makeup for an

extended period of time. She begins to produce a serum, which is the first product she created
for NSA beauty, with her hard work and confidence. After using her serum for over a year, her
skin began to improve, no longer looking dull and began to glow. With confidence in her
product, she began to share it with everyone who noticed changes in her skin, and this is how
her serum gained trust from her friends and followers. After years of working in this industry,
Syafiqah Aina was able to purchase a house, cars, and a new office for NSA Beauty, which is
larger than their previous location.

1.3 SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM USED

Influencers must be active on social media in order to highlight their personality and let
followers know that they are involved in the industry. Syafiqah Aina is active on several social
media platforms such as:

1.4 SOCIAL MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS/ANALYSES

Syafiqah Aina are known as a model and social media influencer who has been viral
before. Among the stories that caught the attention of netizens before this was her birthday
celebration which was mentioned because it was celebrated using a rented limousine. Now
Syafiqah Aina is a young entrepreneur who has her own cosmetics and clothing products.

She started using Instagram in June 2013 and to date has managed to gather over 1.3
million followers. In 2013 to 2016 she managed to gain 700k followers on her Instagram
account. With that many followers, Syafiqah Aina started her career as an Instagram celebrity
by generating income through “paid review”. One of her responsibility’s entails promoting
products or brand on social media. The purpose of a social media influencer is to persuade
her followers to buy the things she uses. Here are some of her social media highlights.

For Instagram, she uses to post her photos and videos. Most of the pictures that she
posted are her selfies, outfits, and lifestyles. Some videos are about her product review, and
some are motivation videos. She currently has 1.3 million Instagram followers. Secondly, she
uses Twitter to connect with and interact with her fans. She also used Twitter to communicate
with her followers, sending out updates and encouraging messages. She currently has 40.7k
followers on Twitter.

Next, is Youtube. Syafiqah Aina uploads her videos to YouTube. Her daily vlogs are
most of the videos she has posted. She now frequently posts videos with her husband, Hafiz
Mahamad. Her own YouTube channel currently has 64.6k subscribers.

Finally, Facebook. She now has a Facebook page dedicated to her fans. Her fans can
like the page and receive updates about her. Her Facebook page currently has 497k followers.

1.5 POSITIVE INFLUENCE

A social media influencer is someone who has built reputation in a given field, has
access to a large audience, and has the ability to persuade others to act on their suggestions.
Syafiqah Aina always influenced her followers many times throughout her career. First and
foremost, she has created an awareness about give alms.

Syafiqah Aina is a person who likes to give alms to people. She loves to donate to
orphanages, not only that, she also often eats with them. What I noticed, every month there
would be one of her posts showing that her was spending time with those orphans. She once
said that she had treated the child as his own child. They also need the same love as other
children. So, it has become Syafiqah Aina's habit and routine to provide for all their needs as
well as serve their needs. This shows that Syafiqah Aina is not an arrogant person. Her loving
and charitable attitude makes people like and love her.

Secondly, Syafiqah Aina is a person who does not give up easily. As people know, she
has her own business. The business challenge she faced was when AINAA Beauty was

established, she said, most Malaysians did not believe in local products. For them, this local
product is not good and is not on par with international products, local products damage the
skin. But for the past three years, she has tried to dispel the mentality and stigma of society
about the quality of local products. Not all local products are bad, and in fact many of our
products are of good quality and on par with international products. Even though Syafiqah
Aina was severely criticized by netizens about her product, she still believes in herself that her
business can help many people out there. She did not give up continuing to achieve her
dreams.

In addition, Syafiqah Aina is a person who takes great care of the welfare of her
employees. She always cared about their health and needs. She shares on her Instagram and
Twitter accounts where she always has lunch, vacations, and buys their necessities. Not only
that, she also often rewards his employees. Aina's social media personality who is also an
entrepreneur once stole the attention of the public when she presented a branded handbag to
all her staff. Through the social site Instagram, she shared a video of buying bags from the
famous brand "Charles & Keith" for public viewing. Aina said that she saw one of her
management team put a wallpaper with a picture of Charles & Keith's handbag on her phone
as her wish list. Then, the other staff together collected money to secretly gift the handbag to
her. Aina was happy to see that. She was immediately moved and said to her husband that
she wanted to give the others a gift as well. Her husband agreed to buy handbags for them
all. Through the video, which lasted less than four minutes, Syafiqah Aina was seen choosing
dozens of handbags to be given to all female and male staff working in her company. She
asked the male staff to present their handbags to their wives or mothers as a sign of sharing
sustenance. Syafiqah Aina and her husband have been through their difficult times. From
there, they learn the meaning of being a subordinate employee. She doesn’t want his
employees to be in trouble or not having fun working. This woman’s humility and spirit admires
those who know her personally.

Furthermore, the term "Beauty with Brain" really does exist. Even though Aina is busy
with her career as a model and businesswoman, she still does not neglect her studies.
Syafiqah Aina graduated with a Bachelor of Communication from Universiti Teknologi MARA
(UiTM). This attitude that we need to be proud of and we need to emulate as a teenager.
Education is not an obstacle for us to pursue our interests and dreams.

Syafiqah Aina loves animals and plants very much. She has a pet cat named Jimmy.
Jimmy was raised since he was little and Aina treated him like his own child. To this day,
Jimmy is still well cared for by Aina and has been considered as a brother to Syafiqah Aina’s
daughter. She also created an Instagram account for her beloved cat, Jimmy. Not only that,

Aina also has many small trees planted around her house. She often shares pictures of them
as a family spending time together in their backyard. Through the pictures, I was able to
observe the state of her home environment has shown that she loves beautiful plants. Despite
being busy with her daily work, she still cares and pays attention to her pets and plants.

Lastly, she has helped small and large businesses by promoting their products on
social media. Promoting products through social media influencers is a type of subconscious
marketing. For centuries, brands and advertisers have sought to shape consumers' thoughts,
attitudes, and behavior without our knowledge. On her Instagram page, she likes to promote
good and healthy products.

1.6 NEGATIVE INFLUENCE

As for negative influence, I have searched for stories about Syafiqah Aina either
on the internet or her social media account, unfortunately there is not a single bad
story or gossip about her that affects the community. There are only a few criticisms
from netizens against him in his comment space.

1.7 CONCLUSION

In conclusion, as a social media influencer, Syafiqah Aina has provided her own
products and other brands with an efficient and focused approach to reaching their target
audience across multiple social media platforms. Aina, an effective and business-driven social
media influencer, can influence opinions, increase brand loyalty, and generate sales. Overall,
social media influencer marketing is one of the fastest growing forms of marketing in today's
industry, and it will continue to grow as it has redefined marketing strategies by introducing
advanced consumer-friendly measures.
