Reaction Paper (1st day)

There are histories made by the alumni or students in Saint Louis School which our
generation will also make history just like them. As the 88th Founding Anniversary is being
celebrated in Saint Louis School, there are many events that became great historical
trademarks of Louisians. Such events were a great part of the Anniversary. One of the events
held in the school was the talent Portion which is included in the Search for the Mr. and Ms.
Campus Personality. As the parade for the opening of the 88th founding anniversary of Saint
Louis School, as well as the presentations of the different grade levels had just finished, the
talent portion for the search Ms. and Mr. SLS Campus Personality, one of the trademarks for
the 88th founding anniversary of Saint Louis School, was held on March 15, 2023 around 2pm
in the afternoon at the gymnasium.

Many who attended this part of the pageant were the faculty and students of Saint
Louis School, as well as some guests, and parents of the candidates. Among the guests were
alumni of the previous years of Saint Louis School. They got to watch as each of the
candidates showcased their talents, and showed their utmost appreciation as well as their
support to their respective candidates. The candidates showcased various talents in this part
of the pageant. These include interpretive dancing, acting, singing, spoken poetry, and art.
Some of which were even combined into one performance. The candidates did not only show
their talents just to impress the judges, but also to advocate several circulating issues that we
are facing today such as mental health awareness and to spread the message of Christian
witnessing. However, not all were pleased with the performances. There were others who
thought some of presentations were not executed properly, or inappropriately delivered.
Nonetheless, many were still entertained despite this occurrence. It can be said that these
performances were indeed truly inspiring for all that witnessed what the candidates could do
to spread a message, leading to others to even shed a tear.

Reaction Paper (2nd day)

As the 88th Founding Anniversary is being celebrated in Saint Louis School, there are
many events that became great historical trademarks of Louisians. Such events were a great
part of the Anniversary. Some of the events held in the school were Ceremonial Parade and
the Friendship Games. There are histories made by the alumni or students in Saint Louis
School which our generation will also make history just like they did. The people who were
involved in the Ceremonial Parade were the school Director, Principal, the alumni of the
previous years such as the 1979 alumni, Solano officials including the mayor, guest speaker,
and the COCC officers along with the privates, which were all Grade 10 students. The
Friendship Games involves students, teachers, and parents.

Both events were held on March 16, 2023 at the Saint Louis School grounds at
different times of the day. The Ceremonial Parade was held at after the mass at around 9am in
the morning whereas the Friendship Games were held at 2pm in the afternoon. The
Ceremonial Parade, also known as the Battalion, showcased the recognition for the COCC
officers along with the privates. They paraded along the school grounds in platoons led by
their respective platoon leaders. This event, although inspiring given the speech of the
esteemed guest, can also be described as traumatic for some who were a part of it. Many of
the privates, as well as some of the COCC officers, had to be pulled out due to exhaustion
standing under the sun. Many medics responded to these incidents which greatly prevented
further complications.

On the other hand, the Friendship Games allowed the Grade 10 students and everyone
present earlier to set their mind at ease after the traumatic events of the Battalion. The games
included were sack race, tug of war, egg drop/catch, musical chairs and ski walk. These
games were participated by the teachers, students and parents. The prizes were blankets, and
kitchen appliances and tools such as chopping boards. This event was very entertaining for all
even for those who only watched.

Reaction Paper (3rd day)

As we go on to the 3rd day of the 88th Founding Anniversary of Saint Louis School,
there are 2 last events that took place in the day. These 2 events are the Symposium and also
the Search for Mr. and Ms. Campus Personality. The Symposium is all about the laws
particularly on Women and Children Protection and the people involved in this are the police
of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya and other officials and lastly it was held on the Tomas Dacayo
Community Center. On the other hand, the Search for Mr. and Ms. Campus Personality was
held on the Saint Louis School Gymnasium and the involved people were the school faculty,
the 20 candidates, the audience which includes people from outside and the students of Saint
Louis School.
Us Louisians learned about many laws such as the RA8552 which is a law against
physical abuse, RA9262 for anti-violence for women and children which includes physical,
emotional, sexual, and economic abuse. We also learned about RA8353 which is an anti-rape
law of 1997, RA13313 which is also known as safe space act, and the RA7877 which is a law
for anti-sexual harassment. My thoughts for these laws are that they are important for our
maternal health. It is very important for us children to learn about these laws for our
protection.

The other portions for the Search for Mr. and Ms. Campus Personality include ethnic,
casual, formal attire. During this event, there was also a Question and Answer portion which
was divided into two parts. The first one is for all the contestants and the second and last one
is for the top 5. Most of the 20 candidates won several awards, on the other hand some of
them did not even though most of the students supported them. Even though this event
consumed many time, it is still considered to be an exciting event for the 88th Founding
Anniversary.

Reflection Paper

In the 2nd Day of the 88th Founding Anniversary of Saint Louis School, before the
ceremonial parade and friendship games, a Holy Eucharist took place. The people included in
the mass were Father Romulo Felix, the commentator, the choir, eucharistic minister and also
the students of Saint Louis School. The gospel after the second reading was according to
Mark. The message from the gospel was delivered well and at the same time even though
Father did not specify the chapter and verses. Father asked us, “Sino ba ako sa inyo?” or in
English, “Who am I to you?”.

The mass celebrated on the 88th Founding anniversary made us reflect on ourselves as
Louisians. As students of Saint Louis School, we are expected to uphold the core values of a
Louisian. To uphold the core values and to meet the expectations of others as a Louisian
really questions my true identity throughout the years. From the way I see it, God has guided
me into shaping my own person. He is the one who gives me everything I have today, helps
me to be the one that I am today, and he is the provider of my life and opportunities in life.
As a Louisian, we are the ones who show and carry the right values and we are also the ones
who always do our best for the service of God, family, and country. To other people, they
have high expectations and respect for us Louisians, since everytime they see students
anywhere wearing our uniforms, they can always know that we are Louisians, and it seems
that we are an inspiration and a role model to others. While it is great to be a role model and
all, we must not forget for who truly are not just as a Louisian, but as a whole person.
