People are dancing

James is sitting in the crowd, observing people. His

eyes lock with another guy’s. He is tall and muscular,
his hair is black and his eyes are blue-gray. They’re
now staring at each other. The guy is heading towards
the bathroom, James follows him.

INT. GAY BAR’S BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS

HOT GUY
I’m surprised you came.

JAMES
I wouldn’t miss it

James locks the door behind him

HOT GUY
Are you sure you wanna do this?

JAMES
I am.

James grabs Matt’s bulge. Then he leans on to kiss him.

They make out. Matt takes James’ T-shirt off. James
starts unbuttoning Matt’s shirt. He kisses his neck, his
abs, his bulge and proceeds to take his belt and pants
off.

JAMES

HOT GUY

EXT. ALLEY OUTSIDE BAR - CONTINUOUS

They are walking.

They keep walking. Three guys seem to be following them.

They start running. Guy 2 and 3 grab rocks and rubbish

from the ground and throw them at them.

A rock hits Matt and he falls down

He turns around to help Matt, but Guy 1 kicks him in the

face.

Guy 2 is kicking Matt and Guy 3 is recording this. Guy 1

approaches James with a knife.

MATT

GUY 1
(turns around)

He goes towards Matt and points the knife at him.

JAMES
No!! Get away from him!

He gets up and starts running towards Matt, but Guy 3

punched him. Guy 3 grabbed him from his hair.

GUY 3
(whispers in James’
ear)
You can’t stop this

GUY 1
Hold him.

JAMES
NO, stop this, we ‘re not gonna
tell anyone just let us go.

Guy 2 holds Matt and Guy 1 stabs him.

Matt screams. Guy 1 twisted the knife.

JAMES
(SCREAMS)
MATT!

Guy 2 throws Matt to the ground. Guy 3 pushes James

against the rubbish bin

GUY 1

JAMES

(his voice breaks)

His voice echoed. His eyes turned black. The attackers

stopped moving. They are paralyzed. They just stand
there, shaking. James has lost control. He only thinks
about how they deserve to die. He is staring at them.

Basically he has blacked out (quite literally). He only

stares at them very vividly and pictures them exploding.
Then, their heads explode and their bodies disintegrated
after hitting the ground. The knife falls on the street.

James comes back to his senses.

JAMES
Wh- What have I done?

FADE TO BLACK.

EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS

James is shaking.

He looks down and he is covered in blood.

He feels nauseated and then throws up.

A lady walks on the street and sees him.

LADY
Uhhh, sir? Are you okay?

He turns around, covered in blood and vomit.

She screams.

JAMES
Wait, no, I- Oh well, you can’t
blame her...

He looks around.

JAMES
(screams)

He picks up the knife and walks back to his apartment.

INT. JAMES’ HOUSE - LATER

James enters his apartment and locks the door. He stands

behind the door and zones out.

INT. JAMES’ BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS

He is staring at himself in the mirror.

He tries to wash his hands which are covered in blood,

but it’s not coming off.

He starts crying.

JAMES
What is happening to me?

Now, he is naked in the bathtub. The shower head runs.

James crouches in a corner of the bathtub hugging his
limbs in tight, crying in anguish over the recent
events.

INT. JAMES’ BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS

He is sitting on his bed. The only piece of clothing he

wears is a towel around his waist. He calls Elizabeth.

ELIZABETH
(on the phone)
Hello, Shorty! How you doing?

JAMES
Hey Lizzie... Can you come over?

ELIZABETH
James, it’s 2 A.M.
(sighs)
Is this about Matt again.

JAMES

Elizabeth is sitting on the couch, her eyes are wide

open and it looks as if she is in a shock. James is
sitting there looking at her. She gets up and walks
away.

JAMES
Where are you going?

There is no answer. A few seconds later she is back with

a bottle of Absolut vodka and two glasses. She sits
down, fills the glasses and drinks one of them very
fast. James tries to reach for the other glass but she
slaps his hand and grabs that one as well. She drinks
it.

JAMES
(kinda surprised,
maybe a little
shocked, whispers)
Oh, okay girl...

ELIZABETH
So you’re telling me you killed 3
people with your mind after they
attacked you and your date, whose
name is- sorry- was Matt, a few
blocks down the street?

JAMES
Presicely

ELIZABETH
First of all, what is it with you
and Matts? Secondly, are you high

JAMES
BITCH I DON’T KNOW. But he was

A tear slides down her cheek. James goes in for a hug

JAMES
Yeah...Here let me give you a
hug.

They hug, Elizabeth is crying.

ELIZABETH
It just sucks so much that I have
to be strong for my dad. I don’t
think I can do this on my own.

JAMES
You ‘re never alone, you have me.
I’ll always be here to help you
with whatever you need. Unless,
of course, Professor X comes here
to recruit me for the next
generation of X-men.

Elizabeth laughs, and then wipes her tears.

ELIZABETH
Stupid hoe... Always knows how to
make me feel better. Thank you!

James laughs.

JAMES
Now, do you want another drink or
shall we go to sleep.

ELIZABETH
Do you have any lemon juice?

JAMES
I think so, yeah.

ELIZABETH

They have a couple more drinks and then notice the sun
is rising. They go out to watch the sunrise and then go
to sleep.

INT. COFFEE SHOP - MORNING

People are in line, waiting to get their coffee. There

are also people sitting in tables, drinking coffee,
eating cake or just talking. Among these people are
James and Elizabeth.

JAMES
So how did you sleep last night?

ELIZABETH
I’m pretty sure I’m hungover.

JAMES
This is what you get for emptying
my alcohol shelf.

ELIZABETH
Fair enough. So what are you
gonna do about with the whole
super power thingy?

A very hot guy, kinda looking like Chris Hemsworth

enters the coffee shop.

JAMES

This guy is approaching James and Elizabeth. They (well,

The recruiter steps back and goes to his booth.

ELIZABETH

James goes to the recruiter’s booth. He stands there

RECRUITER
Hello James, please do take a

JAMES

James sits down and looks at the recruiter. He doesn’t

really know what to do so he just keeps staring at him.
In the end, he says:

Uhh without trying to be rude...
Are you like- Chris Hemsworth’s
long lost brother or something?

RECRUITER

JAMES
You don’t- Chris Hems- Ok never
mind, forget I even asked. Why
are you here?

RECRUITER
I suppose you recently

RECRUITER

James is surprised, but he doesn’t know how to take

this.

JAMES
I’m flattered? I think...

RECRUITER
You should be. I’m here to ask
you to come and ask you to join a
team of people with special
abilities. You will learn to
control your power and use it
against the enemy.

JAMES
Who is...?

RECRUITER
That’s a story for another day.
Are you in?

James is really thinking about it. He looks back at

Elizabeth. He has made his decision. He looks at the
recruiter and says

What the hell, I’m IN! But only
on one condition.

We see the recruiter going to the bathroom. Elizabeth is

observing . James follows him. Elizabeth gasped. After a
few minutes he comes out of the bathroom and sits in
Elizabeth’s booth.

ELIZABETH
Please don’t tell me you sucked
his dick in there.

JAMES
Unfortunately, I did not. BUT I
SET US UP FOR THE ADVENTURE OF
OUR LIVES.

James gets up, grabs Elizabeth’s hand and pulls her

towards the bathroom. She is shocked.

The recruiter chuckles.

RECRUITER
Uhhh could you guys maybe speed

much more time we have before
this portal closes.

ELIZABETH

weekends, I don’t know. And I’m
pretty sure those guys have Wi-Fi

Elizabeth thinks about it. She smiles and looks James in

the eyes.

James screams and jumps in excitement.

RECRUITER
Can we please go now?

OH, yeah right.

They all hold hands and jump into the portal.

INT. HEADQUARTERS - CONTINUOUS

We are in an old building. The portal opens and the

characters jump out of it. It closes right behind them.

James looks around. He notices that it is nothing

special. There are rooms with tech guys and classes with
some other students. Even dorms exist. Still, he
expected it to be fancier and more futuristic.

JAMES
(whispers to
Elizabeth)
Well, that's a let-down.

ELIZABETH
Bitch, shut up. This building is
better than your apartment.
Besides, this is your chance to
meet more people.

JAMES
First of all, OUCH! Secondly,
yeah I guess you're right. I just
have to get used to it and get to
know the whereabouts.

RECRUITER
Ok so. Before any of that
happens, you need to have a chit
chat with the headmistress.

They are walking in the hall. The door of one of the

rooms is open. Two people are in there (Ian and Luna)
and are staring at James and Elizabeth as they are
passing by.

They are both standing in front of a door which says

They decide to enter the room.

They enter the room. The headmistress stands up and

introduces herself.

KATHRYN
Hello, children. I am
headmistress Kathryn Gray. You

ELIZABETH
Yes ma'am

JAMES
That would be us, yes.

KATHRYN
Good. Now take a seat, we need to
discuss about the future.

She looks right into their eyes. They kinda feel

anxious, but not necessarily in a bad way.

JAMES
Yes, right. So...as you already
know, there was an incident the
other day. The hot recruiter guy,

JAMES

KATHRYN

Tyler enters the room.

James looks at Elizabeth and whispers.

Tyler shows them to their dorm.

INT. JAMES AND ELIZABETH'S DORM - CONTINUOUS

settle in. Meet me and Kathryn in
the auditorium at 6 for a

Tyler gives James a judgmental look.

Tyler hands them some balls. Two to each.

These are portal openers. They
will lead you back to your
apartments so that you can get
your stuff. Use one to go and one
to return.

We'll be back before you know it.

Tyler left. James and Elizabeth are alone in the room

and look at each other.

INT. JAMES AND ELIZABETH'S DORM - CONTINUOUS

JAMES
I didn't want to be rude earlier
but like- I kinda hate these
portals?

ELIZABETH
I thought I was the only one, Oh
My God, I was so fucking nauseous
earlier.

Ian and Luna enter the room.

IAN
You'll get used to it.

LUNA
Hello neighbors, I am Luna and
this is Ian. Our dorm is right
next to yours.

JAMES

James opens a portal and jumps in. It closes behind him,

opens. She runs through it and once she passes, it
closes behind her.

INT. JAMES' HOUSE - LATER

Portal opens, James jumps out of it, it closes.

James looks around. He is feeling weird, nauseous. He

runs to the bathroom and throws up. Then he sees the
bloody clothes and knife.

JAMES
Oh God...What am I supposed to do
with these?

He picks up some chlorine and tries to wash them. It

works, but he is never going to wear the clothes again
so he throws them in the trash. He kept the knife.

CUT TO:

INT. ELIZABETH'S ROOM - AT THE SAME TIME

The portal opens inside her room, she runs out of it but
she trips and falls.

ELIZABETH
Seriously ?!

ELIZABETH'S DAD
Liz, are you okay?

ELIZABETH
UHHHHH-

The portal closes

ELIZABETH
(continues)
I'm okay!

She gets out of her room and goes to the living room.

ELIZABETH
It was just some books I
accidentally dropped.

We see James, he just finished packing and he calls

Elizabeth.

can go grab that coffee and then
head back to base.

ELIZABETH
Yeah, I just need to say goodbye
to my dad and I'll call you when
I'm near your place.

ELIZABETH

JAMES

They run out of the coffee shop.

Ok we still have half an hour.

ELIZABETH
Yeah, that's more than enough
time to go back to our dorm,
leave our stuff and go for that
briefing.

Okay let's open that portal

James is ready to throw the ball when--

ELIZABETH
WAIT!

JAMES
WHAT?

ELIZABETH
What if someone sees us? Should
we go to an alley or something?

JAMES
Ahhh yes, dark alleys, my
favorite! But I suppose you're
right. Let's go!

They're walking on the alley. They stop. James grabs the

ball when suddenly they hear a screeching noise. They
see at least 4 shadow-creatures that looked like dogs
march their way towards them.

ELIZABETH
JAMES, UHHH WHAT IS THAT?

JAMES
LIZZIE, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO
KNOW.

The shadow-hounds stop a few meters away from them.

Then, 5 armed men and one woman appear.

WOMAN
Well hello! You must be James.

JAMES
I didn't know I had fans.

WOMAN
He is a funny one...Get him.

The shadow-hounds start running towards him.

ELIZABETH
(screams)
JAMES!

James is panicked. He closes his eyes and lets out a

scream. It echoed in the alley. The hounds disappeared
into smoke. He opens his eyes. Elizabeth is fascinated.

WOMAN
I can't believe it. It's true.

She looks at the armed men and nods. They run towards
James and Elizabeth. James and Elizabeth look at each
other.
 25.

CUT TO:

INT. AUDITORIUM - AT THE SAME TIME

KATHRYN
Where are they? They should have
been here minutes ago.

TYLER
Maybe they forgot or got carried
away?

KATHRYN
And what if they got in trouble?
Find them and bring them here in
one piece. That's an order.

TYLER
Yes ma'am.

CUT TO:

EXT. ALLEY NEAR COFFEE SHOP - CONTINUOUS

Elizabeth punches one of them in the face and kicks him

in the stomach. More are coming. James is trying to
concentrate but it is not working. One of them throws a
knife at him, but he ducks and avoids it.

JAMES
OH MY GOD.

ELIZABETH
A little help here?

He looks back and sees Elizabeth fighting with one of

the men. He runs towards them, jumps on his back and
they both fall down. Before he gets the chance to stand
up properly a gun is shot and James gets hit, but it's
not a bullet. It's a paralytic shot. Elizabeth also gets
shot. They fall to the ground. The woman approaches
them. We see through James' eyes. His vision is blurry.
She looks at him and says

WOMAN
We two are gonna have a really
good time.

She attempts to grab him, but before she gets the

chance, we hear the sound effect of the portal opening.
James' eyes close so we can't see anything, but we hear
muffled sound effects.
