EXT.PATHWAY - DAY
4

THE CAMERA opens on two workers walking down the pathway,WORKER

and BEN, they walk towards the camera as the camera moves
backwards. They are on their way to work and are carrying their
equipment with them.

WORKER
Can’t wait till this job is over.

Ben
Over? We just started.

Worker
I know but I just hate it, don’t you?

BEN
Yeah but I gotta earn something somehow.

WORKER
I’m thinking of quitting.

BEN
Already?

WORKER
Yeah man, don’t you wanna leave this thing?

BEN
I would love to but I can’t.

WORKER
Why?

BEN
This is the only place that would take me with my kind of
education and experie…

WORKER
Oh shit!
5

BEN
What?

The camera cuts to an injured man, his name is WALLACE, leaning

against a fallen tree clearly in a lot of pain. Ben rushes
towards him.

BEN
Hey man are you alright?

Ben looks at Worker.

BEN
Go get some help!

Ben turns back to the injured man.

BEN
Can you hear me? What's your name?

The injured man looks up at Ben

WALLACE
The names’ Wallace

BEN
I’m Ben, my friends’ going to get some help.

WALLACE
Don’t worry, I've been in worse shape.

BEN
Ok, Just relax for now

Wallace tries to get up but struggles

BEN
6

Just relax.

WALLACE
Yeah ok.

BEN
What happened?

The camera cuts to show a mysterious bag by Wallace.

WALLACE
It's a long story.

BEN
Well we are in the middle of nowhere so help will be a while
yet. So tell me how did you get here?

WALLACE
Well…

EXT.CITY - NIGHT

The camera cuts to a city as Wallace begins his narration, the

camera then tilts down to show Wallace running away with the
mysterious bag gripped in his hand.

WALLACE(V.O)
So it was just any normal day, I was walking through the city,
as you do, when all of a sudden a man started running at me so
my immediate reaction was to run away.

The camera cuts and follows Wallace as he runs around the city
when it eventually reveals the man chasing after him.

WALLACE(V.O)
I thought this guy was gonna kill me!
7

The camera continues to cut and follow Wallace around the city
but also showing The man that is chasing him. Soon Wallace loses
him as he gets to the edge of the city.

WALLACE(V.O)
Finally I had lost him and made it out of the City.

EXT.FIELDS - SUNRISE

The camera shows Wallace running off into the distance.

EXT.TRAIN STATION - DAY

We are shown the Chaser at an empty train station looking

disappointed, we get a closer look at the chaser which will
reveal that he is wearing tactical gear giving the impression
that he works for the law. He then gets his phone out, the
camera will cut to its screen, showing a bounty on Wallace,
revealing that this chaser is in fact a bounty hunter. He gets
up and leaves.

EXT.PATHWAY - DAY

The Camera cuts to the bag and then to Ben.

BEN
Jesus! But that still doesn’t explain the blood.

The camera looks at Wallace’s injury that is at his stomach and

then cuts to Wallace

WALLACE
Look, I said it was a long story.

BEN
Well we still have plenty of time, so please do continue.

WALLACE
Ok then…
8

EXT.FIELD - DAY

Wallace stumbles towards the camera clearly out of breath; he

then lets out a sigh of Relief, laughs and continues to walk
onwards.

WALLACE(V.O)
I decided to continue walking away from the city, just to be
safe.

The camera has a wide shot of Wallace progressing through the

field.

WALLACE(V.O)
And just as I thought I got away…

The camera continues to follow Wallace from behind but then

Wallace stops and looks behind him his face turns from happy to
fed up.

WALLACE
Look, you gotta stop coming after me.

Cut to a shot of the bounty hunter, his name is FLOYD.

FLOYD
Ain’t gonna happen.

Wallace starts to walk towards Floyd, Floyd puts his hand on his
gun which is currently holstered.

WALLACE
Woah, easy there, I just wanna talk

Floyd takes his hand away from his gun.

WALLACE
That's more like it.
9

Wallace starts to walk towards Floyd again.

FLOYD
That's close enough.

Wallace stops.

WALLACE
Ok, Ok.

FLOYD
You wanna talk? Let's talk.

Wallace starts moving towards Floyd slowly.

WALLACE
I know why you're after me and you ain’t having me or it! So I
propose a deal. You let me go I’ll pay you, I don’t have the
money right now but I promise you can get it. Besides I know
you’re doing this for the money.

FLOYD
That’s not all.

WALLACE
Yeah well I do have something else for you.

FLOYD
What's tha…

Wallace punches Floyd in the face knocking him to the ground but
also dropping the bag and begins to start running once again.

INT.LOCKER ROOM - DAY

The camera cuts to Floyd once again looking disappointed just

this time he's at his locker room. Floyds COWORKER is there with
him but off-screen.
10

COWORKER
Hey, don't be so hard on yourself.

FLOYD
Yeah well I lost the target.

COWORKER
Well at least you got the bag of…

FLOYD
You’re right, maybe I could use it to attract him. Wanna help?

COWORKER
You know I’d love to but I got my own thing going on.

FLOYD
Right, Yeah, guess if I got this far I can finish this.

EXT.PATHWAY - DAY

Camera cuts to Ben looking confused

BEN
Why’d you offer him money if you didn’t do anything?

WALLACE
Yeah, well, uhh. I, um, lied about, giving him money to, see if
he would, leave me alone. You get what I mean?

BEN
Right? Yeah.

Ben is Starting to get a bit suspicious whether Wallace is

telling him the truth or not.

WALLACE
Umm. Anyways, on with the story.
11

EXT.FIELD - DAY

Wallace is retracing his steps on the Field

WALLACE(V.O)
I knew I dropped the bag and I had to find it.

EXT.PATHWAY - DAY

Camera cuts to the bag

BEN
What? This bag?

WALLACE
What other bag would I be talking about?

BEN
What's even it anyways?

WALLACE
I’ll show after I’ve finished the story.

BEN
Well then get on with it!

EXT.FIELD - DAY

Wallace is still looking for the bag

FLOYD
Lookin for this?

Wallace and Floyd are standing opposite each other almost as if

they were preparing for a standoff.

WALLACE
You know, you’re really starting to get on my nerves.
12

FLOYD
You're coming with me.

WALLACE
Uhh, I Don't think so

Wallace lifts up his shotgun but is outmatched by the speed of

Floyd taking out his gun and shooting Wallace in the stomach,
however Wallace still manages to land a shot on Floyd making
Floyd fall to the ground. Wallace then runs away.

WALLACE(V.O)
So I managed to convince him to leave me alone

EXT.PATHWAY - DAY

Camera cuts to Ben looking confused, starting to think that

something about Wallace’s story isn’t adding up.

BEN
So you just convinced him to leave you alone even though he
rejected the money.

Wallace
Well it took a while but yeah I convinced him.

BEN
Right?

Ben notices Wallace’s gun tucked away, stands up and takes a few
steps back.

WALLACE
Hey didn’t you wanna look inside the bag?

BEN
No, it's fine. I should go see if the help is here yet.

WALLACE
13

Nah they’ll know their way just come take a look.

Ben begins to walk slowly towards Wallace

WALLACE
C’mon I ain’t gonna bite.

Wallace pats the ground next to him

WALLACE
Right here.

Ben kneels next to Wallace then Wallace picks up the bag

WALLACE
Now take a look.

Ben looks inside the bag, his face then shows an emotion of
shock before he can say anything. Wallace shoots him in the face
and Ben sent falling back.

WALLACE
Well that was a waste of time.

Wallace gets up and dusts himself off and looks at Ben’s body
almost admiring what he has done.

WALLACE
You took your time

Wallace turns around and begins to raise his hands

WALLACE
Shit.

Floyd stands looking at Wallace with his gun pointed at him,

Floyd then walks towards Wallace and takes his gun from him,
Floyd then returns to where he was standing.
14

FLOYD
C’mon.

EXT.FIELD - DAY

Wallace walks ahead of Floyd with the gun still pointed at him.

WALLACE
I feel congratulations are in order. You caught me and now
you're gonna get some money for it, sure there's no way I can
sweeten the deal a little. Eh, worth a try. Hey at least you got
me alive.

Floyd Stops
FLOYD
I’m not taking you in alive.

Wallace stops and pauses in thought then begins to look around

WALLACE
What’d you say?

Floyd throws Wallace’s gun on the gun

FLOYD
I’m not taking you in alive.

Wallace chuckles

WALLACE
Oh I see.

Wallace picks up the gun

WALLACE
You want round two.

FLOYD
15

Fifteen Paces.

The two stand back to back and begin to walk fifteen paces, once
done they turn and look at each other for a few seconds but then
Wallace reaches for his gun but Floyd is faster, getting his gun
out and shooting Wallace between the eyes. Wallace’s body falls.
Floyd holsters his gun and begins to walk away from the Camera.

46

Contingency Plan:

This being a short film it is key that my footage is always there and not missing. To do this I will
backup my footage and also others such as audio and graphics to ensure that they do not go
missing and cause problems throughout the production.

Actors are absolutely necessary for filming because without them I wouldn’t have a film which is
why I will not only cast actors but also backup actors who are also free on the days that I plan
on filming. This way I never have to worry about someone backing out as I have someone who
can easily replace them. I can’t just cast anyone so I will audition both actors and backup actors
to make sure what I am looking for, they can bring to the table.

Weather is a major problem when it comes to filming as it is very unpredictable because of this I
will keep an extra eye on the forecast but also have extra days available that the actors also
have available in case of a weather related problem. Being Cloudy isn’t too much of a problem
as there are lighting techniques I can use but if it rains, gets too windy or any other unsuitable
weather we will see if we can wait it out if not we will film another day.

Filming can go wrong at any point so I will make sure to bring all the correct equipment with
people to help to make sure all filming runs as smoothly as possible both for me so I can make
sure filming is done to a good standard but also for the others involved so they can have a good
time and not find it unpleasant while filming.
