Description
The sanitary drainage system consist of piping connected to all fixture drain and vent headers to route
wastes to a sewage treatment unit by gravity while the vent header piping shall be extended to the
powerhouse roof.
The unit has three compartments. The pre-treatment compartment, on the left, receives the wastewater
and partially treats it physically and biologically before it enters the center treatment compartment.
In the center treatment compartment, technically referred to as a “bio-reactor”, the jet aerator injects fresh
air to provide oxygen and mixing the process. Huge numbers of microorganisms – the “biomass” provide
an extraordinary rapid and high degree of treatment, converting the wastewater to odorless, colorless
liquids and gases. Air from the jet aerator provides the oxygen-required by the microorganisms to
complete this process. Mixing insures that all the wastewater inside this compartment comes in contact
with the microorganisms for total treatment.
After the treatment in the “bio-reactor” the contents flow into the settling compartment where fine particles
settle and return to the treatment compartment. This leaves only a clear, odorless, highly treated liquid in
the chlorination to provide additional treatment before to be discharged in the tailrace.

The Oil water Separator system scope include the items described below:
Pre-Commissioning Procedures
Prior to functional performance testing of each system, the commissioning team should observe and
verify that the physical installation of components and systems being tested is substantially completed
and in accordance with the contract documents.
Refer to latest contract drawings when performing Waste water tretme3nt plant and commissioning test
procedures.
Confirm that all equipments complies with the contract drawings in all aspects that are relevant to the safe
and effective operation of the system
