The complex number Z = 2+3i, -3+2i, -3-2i, 2-5i is plotted as a point with co-
ordinates (2,3), (-3,2), (-3,-2), (2,-5) as shown. Because the real part of Z is
plotted on the hotizontal axis we often refer to this as the real axis .The
imaginary part of Z is plotted on the vertical axis and so we refer to this as the
imaginary axis Such diagram is called an Argand diagram.

Prove that: |Z 1+ Z 2|≤|Z 1|+|Z2| .


Proof:
a) Analytically :

Let Z1 =x1 +iy 1 , Z2 =x2 +iy 2 then we must show that
