Though this is the 43rd Annual University Club Golf Outing, it wasnt until 2010 that the outing was designated as a fundraiser for the Foundation. After all was said and done, last year we were able to cover more than $2,000 of clubhouse projects. It is our hope to meet or exceed that this year through the generosity of our players and sponsors. We were able to keep the cost to $150 per person, including carts, greens fees, lunch at the turn, practice range, prizes, cocktail reception and dinner at the U Club. Shot gun start is at 9:45 a.m. at Troy Country Club, one of the areas most beautiful and challenging courses, but come early to warm-up on the driving range. Round out the day with hors doeuvres, drinks & dinner at the University Club. Dont have a foursome? No worries. Send in your form and well match you up with a group.

Even if you dont golf you can sponsor the event. There are s pons or s hi p oppor t u ni t i es ranging from $75-$5,000 and we gratefully accept product donations to give as prizes to participants. Its a great way to showcase your business or personal support, and, since the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation, your donation may be eligible for a tax-deduction. Sponsorship/golf sign up forms are available at the club or via email. Call Ellen at 463-1151 for more information. Funds raised through these types of Foundation-sponsored events are vital to the continued success of the Club and the Foundation and we sincerely appreciate your participation, whether you golf, sponsor or both. Thank you.

We have a thank you gift for all of you. Stop by the Club to pick it up. And the winner of the Grand Prize drawing for lunch or dinner for two at the Club is DON MESERVE! It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia A. Brauer, longtime receptionist at the University Club. Pat always had a smile, was quick with a kind word and went out of her way to make everyone who came through the doors of the Club feel welcome and well taken care of. She could find the silver lining in even the darkest cloud and we will miss the sunny optimism she so freely offered others.
