Back Panel:
Using 2.75mm needles (or a size smaller than
needed to obtain gauge), cast on (87, 101, 111)
(126, 138, 155)(167, 182, 194) sts.

Work in 1x1 rib for (9, 9, 9.5)(9.5, 10, 10)(10.5,

11, 11.5) cm.

Change to 3mm needles (or size needed to

obtain gauge).

Work in pattern, increasing 1 st at each end of

every 8th row until increased to (101, 113, 127)
(142, 158, 173)(185, 200, 213) sts.

Note - You can begin the increases one row later if increasing on the RS is easier. I did!

When work measures (33, 34, 34)(35, 35, 36)(37, 38, 39) cm, shape armhole by casting off
(2, 4, 5)(6, 7, 8)(9, 10, 11) sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
Decrease 1st at each end of the next (3, 4, 6)(8, 10, 13)(14, 17, 18) rows, then every 2nd
row (3, 4, 5)(7, 9, 12)(14, 16, 18) times.
Note - For most sizes, you will need to decrease into the pattern. Do this for as long as you are
able, then when you can no longer continue part of the pattern, simply knit those stitches.

Continue in pattern until armhole measures (9, 10, 11)(12, 12, 13)( 13, 14, 15) cm deep.

Working in pattern, work half of the stitches and place onto a spare needle or waste yarn.
The rest of the back will be worked in 2 pieces in order to create an opening for the head.
Continue working remaining sts to end of row.

Continue working remaining sts in pattern until armhole measures (16, 18, 18)(19, 20, 21)
(22, 23, 24) cm deep.

Shape shoulder by casting off (9, 10, 10)(11, 11, 12)(12, 13, 13) at armhole edge ever
second row, 3 times.

Join yarn at center edge of other side and work to correspond.

Page 5
Front Panel:
The front panel is worked the same as the back
panel until the armhole shaping is complete.

Work in pattern, increasing 1 st at each end of every 8th row until increased to (101, 113,
127)(142, 158, 173)(185, 200, 213) sts.

Work (35, 37, 39)(41, 42, 43)(44, 45, 47) sts in pattern. Leave on a spare needle or put
onto waste yarn. Cast off (14, 15, 16)(18, 19, 20)(22, 22, 25). Work the remaining (35, 37,
39)(41, 42, 43)(44, 45, 47) sts in pattern.
Note - cast off will begin within and continue into pattern. Keep to the pattern as best as you can,
but when you are unable to you can replace this section of the repeat with knit stitches.

Continue working on the one side, decreasing at the neck edge of the next (3, 4, 4)(4, 4,
5)(5, 5, 5) rows, then every second row until decreased to (30, 30, 30)(33, 33, 33)(36, 36,
36) sts. Armhole should now measure approximately (16, 18, 18)(19, 20, 21)(22, 23, 24) cm
deep.

Shape shoulder by casting off (10, 10, 10)(11, 11, 11)(12, 12, 12) sts at armhole edge every
second row 3 times.

Collar (knit 2):
The collar is knit in pattern, omitting the stockinette stitches in between, as follows -
Row 1: P1 *K1, YO, K2, SL1, K2tog, PSSO, K2, YO, kK, P1*. Repeat from* to end of row.
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: P1, *K2, YO, K1, SL1, K2tog, PSSO, K1, YO, K2, p1*Repeat from * until end of row.
Row 4: Purl
Row 5: P1, *K3, YO, SL1, K2tog, PSSO, YO, K3, p1* Repeat from * until end of row.
Row 6: Purl

Using 3mm needles, or size needed to obtain gauge, cast on (61, 61, 61)(71, 71, 71)(81,
81, 81) sts.

When 3 pattern repeats have been completed (18 rows) change to 2.75mm needles, or a
size smaller than needed to obtain gauge. K1, *K3, K2tog*, repeat from * to end.
Purl 1 row then cast off.

Sleeves (knit 2):

Using 2.75mm needles, or a size smaller than needed to obtain gauge, cast on (66, 72, 76)
(84, 94, 104)(118, 128, 138) sts and work in 1x1 rib until 2.5cm long, or desired length.

Knit (23, 26, 28)(32, 37, 42)(49, 54, 59) sts along the row, then K21 in pattern. Knit the
remaining (23, 26, 28)(32, 37, 42)(49, 54, 59) sts.

Continue working in pattern, increasing at each end of every 4th row until (72, 86, 92)
(104, 114, 124)(138, 152, 162) sts. Continue working until seam measures (13, 14, 15)(15,
15, 16)( 16, 16, 17) cm.

K2tog at each end of every second row until decreased to (54, 56, 60)(74, 80, 88)(102,
114, 136) sts. Then K2tog at each end of every row until decreased to (26, 28, 32)(40, 48,
