The Provincial Population, Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office, in partnership with the
Liga ng mga Cooperative Development Officers sa Pilipinas (LCDOP) Pangasinan, Inc., is
organizing a Capacity Development Program for Local Cooperative Development Officers on
May 23-26, 2023 at the Capitol Resort Hotel in Lingayen. This is in line with the national
government thrust of establishing a complete and capable network of cooperative development
officers in all levels of local government, pursuant to RA 7160 as amended by RA 11535.

The Basic Cooperative Course for Cooperative Development Officers will cover the
fundamental knowledge of cooperatives including important legal underpinnings and cooperative
thoughts and practices that are all essential to the effective performance of duties and functions of
your LCDO. The four-day in-person training also aims to upskill the participants’ capacities in
strategic planning and in cooperative training facilitation.

In this line, may we respectfully invite your Local Cooperative Development Officer to attend this
important training that will be facilitated by the Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise
Development (ICOPED) of the College of Economics and Management, University of the
Philippines Los Baños. A registration fee will be required from each participant, the total amount
shall vary depending on the type of registration:

The PPCLDO, as its counterpart, will cover the entire training fee of ICOPED UPLB.
