“AN EXECUTIVE ORDER RE-ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY

DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL OF BARANGAY BINGAY, BORBON,
CEBU.”

WHEREAS, Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of
1991, particularly Sec. 106 mandates that all local government units shall have a
comprehensive multi-sectoral development plan to be initiated by its development council as
the primary planning unit in determining the over-all development in the barangay;

WHEREAS, the same code provides that the development council shall assist the
corresponding sangguniang in setting the direction of economic and social development, and
coordinating development efforts within its territorial jurisdiction;

WHEREAS, said law further outlines and defined the composition and function of the
said council.

NOW, in the power vested I me by the law, I, Punong Barangay Hon. NACIANSINA
S. CATUBIG of Barangay Bingay, Borbon, Cebu by the power vested in me by the law do
hereby order the following:

SECTION 1. ORGANIZATION AND COMPOSITION

SECTION 2. FUNCTIONS:

 Mobilize people’s participation in local development;

 Prepare barangay development plans based on local requirements;
 Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local programs and
projects; and
 Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or competent authority;
 As Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee, shall be
responsible for setting the direction, development, implementation and coordination
of disaster risk management programs within their territorial jurisdiction.

SECTION 3. SECRETARIAT:

The Barangay Secretary shall head the Secretariat of the Barangay Development Council.

This order shall take effect immediately.
