INTRODUCTION
Students use gadgets to complete their tasks and schoolwork. It also acts as an alert
or reminder for all the things and tasks that must be completed and submitted by the
deadline. Smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers are among the most common and
easily accessible devices for pupils at school. Digital technology in the modern world is
not only a tool, but also a living environment that opens up new opportunities such as
learning at any convenient time, continuing education, etc. Having shown the core of the
digital education and the estate of its implementation in modern society, this type of
education must be critically analyzed in terms of advantages and risks with reference to
contemporary students and the effectiveness of the teaching – learning process, in which
they participate.
Technology has influenced and invaded all aspects of our lives, including
educational settings. Many have praised such penetration as the wave me of the future, in
which fresh breakthroughs in computers, the Internet, and mobile technology will drive
technologically-driven classroom succeeds or fails. The use of gadgets and the internet in
early childhood can have both positive and negative impacts. The use of child-adapted
gadget technology as a medium for distance learning can create an interactive and

engaging environment. However, excessive use of gadgets can also cause several
problems.

Using technology in the classroom made learning fun and more engaging. It also
increase students’ interest in a subject and encourage teamwork. For example, teachers
uses websites, videos, and mobile apps to engage their students in new ways. Students
have access to mass information and many perspectives. Using gadgets like laptops helps
the ABM students their research papers and other research activities. Gadgets help search
for information required in the student’s assignment. Also, using gadgets in doing
projects helps the students become more productive and produce well-done output.
Based on the observation that has been made, among all the ABM student at Teresa
National High School – Senior High School, almost all of them are using their gadgets
such as mobile phone, tablet, and laptop which allows them to have an easier access to
the information they need and makes their academic tasks and activities more efficient.
ABM students use gadgets to get rid of boredom during recess, students use gadgets
for entertainment during recess such as playing games and opening social media, but
there are students who use gadgets during recess to looking for additional information
that students do not know yet. There are many application features available on gadgets,
not only applications for learning to recognize letters or pictures, but also entertainment
applications such as social media, videos, pictures, and even online games.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings and conclusions, the researcher hereby recommend the Following:

Based on the results of research that has been conducted by researchers regarding
the following conclusions can be drawn. First, the use of gadgets among students is not
only used as a communication tool, but there are some students who use gadgets to play
games, open social media and there are some of them who prefer playing games rather
than studying. Some of them even use gadgets for entertainment, but they also use
gadgets to do school work. The use of gadgets among students is included in high and
low usage intensity. Second, the continuous use of gadgets not only has a positive impact
