ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING

Minutes of meeting of the Pilar Basketball Club (Club) held on March 9, 2023 at
Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Poblacion, Pilar, Bohol @ 9:35 o’clock in the morning.

The meeting was formally started with an opening prayer led by Hon. Dennis Lloyd B.
Amoncio, SK Chairperson of Poblacion. Basketball enthusiasts attended the meeting and
it was presided by Hon. Flordval M. Butron, SK Federated President.

Hon. Dennis Lloyd B. Amoncio, SK Chairperson of Poblacion, moved a motion and duly
seconded by Hon. Joven J. Ciasico, SK Chairperson of Catagdaan to appoint Mr. Edwin
B. Osuña, LYDC President, to be the acting secretary for the meeting. Motion Approved.

The presiding officer gave his statement if purpose why he called for an organizational
meeting for all basketball enthusiasts. This is to formally organize the basketball sport
and be accredited in the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pilar. He added that in order
to legally scout potential basketball players in the municipality, a group must be formed
and established. He announced that there will be a Governor’s Cup Basketball
Tournament for Junior and Senior Division wherein Pilar will be sending it’s
representatives. Scouting of potential players is deemed necessary.
Dr. Antonio P. Buaya, PSDS-Pilar District, gave his thought about the advantage of an
organization to be registered and accredited by the LGU so that there will be allocated
budget for the basketball sport since basketball is one of the crowd-gathering sports in
the community in terms of entertainment and recreational activity.

Mr. Rene Curiba, PESS Coordinator of Pilar District, emphasizes the requirements of
members. A valid certification that proves the residency of the members since the
organization is exclusive for the Pilarnon Residence.

Mr. Rene Bagcat, Coach/Trainer, also informed the body that age of membership starts
at five (5) years old. This is to encourage young individuals to develop their skills at
early age. Soon as the organization went well, one of the programs will conduct
basketball training down to the barangay level.

In connection to the statement of Mr. Bagcat, Mr. Edwin B. Osuña, LYDC President,
suggested to the body that membership for the organization must be out in writing and
the organization must have an Official Members Application form to be filled out by the
applicants with parents signature for the ages 18 years old below.

Without further discussion, the presiding officer presented the agenda to wit;
1. Name of the Organization
2. Election of Officer
3. Formulation of Constitution and By Laws.

A. NAME OF THE ORGANIZATION

The name of the organization is Pilar Basketball Club (PBC) of which the
principal office is at Poblacion, Pilar, Bohol.

B. ELECTION OF OFFICER.
The manner of election of during the organization meeting was through
nomination and majority voted instantly by the attendees to wit:

C. Formulation of Constitution and By-Laws.

The Constitution and By Laws of Pilar Basketball Club (PBC) was
thoroughly discussed, deliberated and approved by the attendees on the
same date of organization. Please see (Annex A) Attachment.

Since there’s no other matters to be tackled. It has been moved by Hon. Joven J.
Ciasico duly seconded en masse to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at
exactly 12:10 noon.
