Topic: SWOT Analysis of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Taguig

Branch

Question: Make a SWOT analysis about Polytechnic University of the

Philippines-Taguig Branch Marketing Strategy (that focuses on the cost,

competition, and value to the customer)

According to Polytechnic University of the Philippines, the Government

and University officials envisioned Polytechnic University of the Philippines-

Taguig Branch to become the main source of commercial and industrial

managers and employers that will fill in the job vacancies in the area,

particularly now that the region is fast becoming an industrial zone that can

employ thousands of workers. In this way, I will be conducting a SWOT analysis

of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Taguig Branch to evaluate their

cost, competition, and value to the customer.

Analysis.

1. The Iskolar ng Bayan students are eligible for a free education of the highest

and most affordable quality from Polytechnic University of the Philippines-

Taguig Branch.

2. One of the most prestigious state universities with a well-established brand

recognition in the Philippines.

3. Provide employees and faculty members with the ability to meet global

academic standards.

4. A friendship between a student and a member of the faculty, which provides

benefits, particularly for those students who are also working.

5. The students have access to a diverse selection of courses and programs

that can aid in the expansion of their knowledge and the development of their

skills.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Taguig Branch: Weaknesses

Analysis

1. There is a shortage of instructors, which has resulted in fewer available

courses and programs. As a result, there are only a certain number of slots

available for those students.

2. Incomplete facilities for the students to accommodate their needs in the

course that they have chosen, as well as outdated materials and equipment

that cannot be used at this point in time because they have been abandoned.

3. The entire campus is full of dilapidated buildings, many of which are cracked

as a result of the earthquake and the earthquake fault-line that strikes through

the center of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Taguig Branch.

4. The Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Taguig Branch operates with

limited funding because their partners only provide a portion of it.

5. Because of the immoral behavior of some of the students, the university

encountered problems with instances of bullying and scandal.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Taguig Branch: Opportunities

Analysis.

1. The partnerships are providing the university with full support, which is a

significant help in terms of building new facilities for the institution as it strives

to become a more well-known educational brand.

2. A university's reputation can be enhanced by the standard of its former

students and faculty member (Top-notchers alumni)

3. A growing passion for educational opportunities.

4. A learning environment that is enabling and productive while also having

social development programs and projects that are sustainable.

5. Working together with other educational institutions and outside

organizations to expand the educational opportunities available to students at

the university, as well as to improve the overall quality of the university.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Taguig Branch: Threats

Analysis.

1. The COVID-19 poses such a significant risk to the university, its other

students, faculty members, and staff members are forced to adapt their

schedules and their areas of expertise.

2. The rapid technological and equipment development at competing

educational institutions poses a significant threat to Polytechnic University of

the Philippines-Taguig Branch.

3. There are a significant number of colleges and universities are found in very

close proximity to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Taguig Branch.

4. There is intense competition from other colleges and universities that provide

the same types of programs and courses.

5. In the case of LGBTQIA+ students in particular, the strict regulations and

policies of the university that limit the students' ability to express who they are

as individuals have a significant negative effect on their academic performance.
