INSTRUCTION 5: ADVISE FOR RELEASE OF REDEMPTION SUM

1. Prepare a letter of advice addressed to the Purchaser’s financier for

release of partial loan sum to settle the redemption sum (6 marks).
2. Send the cheque for payment for redemption sum to the Vendor’s solicitors.

3. When the security documents from the Registered Chargee (the Vendor’s bank) are delivered to
your firm, check the Original Issue Document of Title, the Duplicate Charge (form 16A NLC -
between the Registered Chargee and the Vendor) and the Discharge of Charge (form 16N NLC)
to ensure that all the documents are in order. Check whether the registration fee for Discharge
of Charge (form 16N NLC) and the noting fee paid by the Vendor are sufficient.
