Questions
a. The things that came into my mind is about percentile and t-distribution.
b. The possible things or applications of these words in Statistics is it will help us determine or identify percentile
and illustrate t-distribution.
c. The normal distribution is a continuous probability distribution that is by symmetrical on both sides of the mean,
so the right side of the center is a mirror image of the left side. The normal distribution is often called the bell
curve because the graph of its probability density looks like a bell.

What’s more

Percentile n df Right tailed area t

60th Percentile 2 1 0.4 0.325
75th Percentile 5 4 0.25 0.741
25th Percentile 15 14 -0.25 -0.692
90th Percentile 7 6 0.1 1.440
95th Percentile 20 19 0.05 1.729

What I have learned

1. The T distribution, like the normal distribution, is bell-shaped and symmetric, but it has heavier tails, which
means it tends to produce values that fall far from its mean. T-tests are used in statistics to estimate
significance. And like a standard normal distribution (or z-distribution), the t-distribution has a mean of zero.
2. To identify the t-value, identify first the degree of freedom using the formula df= n-1 where n is the sample size.
3. To find a t-value, look at the bottom row of the table; this tells you which column of the t-table you need.
Intersect this column with the row for your df (degrees of freedom). The number you see is the t-value.
