DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Responsible for the project’s complete MEP work and daily activities.
 Coordination and progress follow up for overall MEP related construction activities as per project
specification, approved standards and documents.
 Ensuring that services provisions clearance is provided in time for structure and provide technical
advice to project construction team.
 Closing out the inspection comments for MEP contractor installation works.
 Carry out the site walks and inspection for service installation. Identify poor quality elements and
advise construction team and MEP manager.
 Ensure that the MEP NCR’s are closed out.
 Inspection of concealed MEP service installation prior to closure of Void / Shaft / Riser/ etc. in
conjunction with QA/QC and obtaining consultants sign off.
 Ensuring service access provisions are provided by construction team in advance of commissioning
of respective system / elements of works.
 Preparation of Punch List for complete MEP system and issued to MEP contractor for further
rectification.
 Ensuring the compliance with authority requirements and attending inspections.
 Heat load calculation using HAP and e20 Spread sheet, Pump head calculation, External static
pressure calculation for both Fresh air and exhaust air ducting network including the fan motor
power calculations, Staircase pressurization calculation.
 Selection of DX units, FCUs. AHUs, FAHUs, Exhaust fans, End suction chilled water pumps both
primary and secondary with and without VFD, Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, De-
humidification unit selection for spa.
 Fresh air and extract air calculation, balancing of positive and negative pressure based on the
requirements.
 Duct design for both galvanized and pre-insulated panels using equal friction method by the use of
software (McQuay Ductsizer).
 Sizing and Selection of Grills and diffusers (Square Diffusers, slot, linear bar grills, etc.)
 Reviewing the technical documents prior to submission such as RFI, Method statements,
Inspection requests, Material Submittals, ITP, Pre-commissioning and commissioning check lists,
PTW and Final testing and commissioning reports as per approved standard drawings and authority
requirements.
 Leading and technical assistance to resolve the arising issues on the site liaising with architect,
consultants and Sub-contractors, such MEP services clashes with civil, coordination of MEP
service access issues, installation difficulties etc.
 Coordination of MEP related testing and commissioning activities to achieve the planned progress
within timeline.
 Part of the team for the preparation building readiness according to cause and effect matrix and
authority inspections and attending inspections.
 Reviewing the project planning, Monthly progressive Bills, Material submittal logs, drawing logs,
 long lead items logs, method statement logs, and authority logs.
 Evaluating and certifying sub-contractor’s invoices of work done at the site as per the released
work order.
 Supervising MEP activities to ensure that the engineering procurement phase shall meet the project
requirements.
 Coordinating with sub-contractors and specialist suppliers/contractors for reviewing their technical
submittals (Specialist contractors such as Firefighting, LPG, Fire protection, and fire sealant).
 Attending MEP site progress meeting and monitoring the site progress with respect to the approved
execution plan and supervise the team to meet the targets.
 Coordinating with Civil construction manager and ensure site clearance is available prior to start
the MEP execution works at site.
 Evaluating the additional client requirements with the contract documents for the variation.
 Preparing the equipment load summary for the mech. equipment’s as required by electrical team.
 Overlooking the MEP related RPL, MCC & building handing over activity with client, consultant
and specialist contractor.
 Coordinating and attending the overall received site observation reports close out preparation and
verification with concern stakeholders.
 Plan and manage to complete works on time to give civil clearances and train supervisors to
increase productivity.
 Overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on site.
 Resolving snags when inspecting with the respective representative.
 Manage and evaluate work project is executed in accordance with the schedule or
appropriate corrective actions are taken to deliver the project within the defined time
frame.
 Participate in continuous improvement by generating suggestions, used critical thinking
