1.1 Upslip

1.2 Provide berthing space for vessel to alongside, per day

1.3 Pre-docking Preparation

· The process of dry docking of a ship needs to be
planned .
· Yard prepare a docking plan as taking consideration
all details of the structure of the ship such as hull structure
of the ship, locations of the drain plugs, and echo sounders
beneath the ship so as to not damage them during docking
the ship

1.4 Preparing a Docking Plan

· Yard to take plan a series of sketches and detailed
calculations about the ship’s height, weight, and structure.

· The docking plan to ensure successfully dock the

ship and also easily undock during upslip it. It also to
reduces the risk of a ship capsizing during undocking.
· Preparing yard equipment for upslip activity such as
winch, wire arrangement, ballon position and stool block
with consider the sequence during operation

1.5 Understanding the Stability Conditions

· The weight distribution of the ship that is to be
docked needs to be calculated accurately.
· the entire weight of the ship is borne by the stool
blocks,
· The stability condition of the ship is analysed
perfectly before the actual process begins.

Arrival
· all the stability conditions on its arrival to the dry
docking port

1.6 The Actual Docking.

· Once the ship has successfully achieved the pre-
docking conditions, the ship is to be tugged into the dock
since its engine is not available.
· When the ship is inside the docks, the ship is pull by
winch and made secure the winch wire to the vessel.
 · Yard using ship launching marine airbags for
conveying the vessel.
· Pull up the vessel to land berth using winch

1.7 Consist of upslip material and equipment as below:

· Launching ballon x 5 unit
· 1.8 meter height.
· 18 meter length of usage area.
· 7 layer
· Winch
· Excavator
· Forklift
· Manpower labour

2.2 Preparation Prior to any Slipway Activity

· Assess Weather Conditions. handling the excavator

extension pull support and make sure the ship launching
marine bags all are in good condition

2.3 Tying Up the Vessel

· All binders running to the ship ,Yard to ensure that
binder have been inspected prior to slipping the ship.

2.4 Down slip activity

· Slipping can only commence once a once operator is
satisfied that the boat latching is tied correctly

2.5 Consist of upslip material and equipment as below:

· Launching ballon x 5 unit
· 1.8 meter height.
· 18 meter length of usage area.

· Winch
· Excavator
