The Witch and the Saint
Steven Reineke
Arranged by Matt Conaway
Steven Reineke’s compositions never fail to portray riveting legends and stories to audiences of all ages. In this new
edition, Matt Conaway has adapted one of Steven’s more unique settings into an accessible work for younger bands.
Without sacrificing the original storyline or any melodic material, this captivating arrangement provides a magnificent
centerpiece to any concert or festival program. This poignant story of misunderstood twin sisters is both powerful and
sensitive, and is not to be missed. Highly compelling!

Steven Reineke

Steven Reineke begins his tenure as Music Director of The New York Pops in October 2009. He succeeds the
legendary Skitch Henderson, who founded the orchestra in 1983 and led the ensemble until his death in 2005. Mr. Reineke
will conduct the orchestra’s annual concert series at Carnegie Hall as well as tours, recordings, and nationwide telecasts,
including the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on NBC Television. New York’s only permanent and professional
symphonic pops orchestra, The New York Pops is the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States.

During the 2009-2011 season, Steven Reineke will also begin his tenure as Principal Pops Conductor of the Long
Beach Symphony Orchestra and embark on his second season as Principal Pops Conductor of the Modesto Symphony
