2019

Happy Freebie Friday!

So its time for the second post of the day – Wiggler! I have actually been dreading having
to type up this pattern post because it requires a lot of detail and I was not sure how I
would be able to explain the various aspects to complete it. This is a very busy pattern in
that there are many components to it. However, overall I consider it to be very straight
forward (you will have to let me know if you feel the same!).

I will just jump straight into the pattern rather than waffling on…

ASSEMBLY

9/13
Stitch the balls so that the body
creates a wave shape instead of just
a straight line.
Stitch through the head so that it is
elongated rather than round.
Attach the nose then the cheeks
either side of the head (this will
cover up the dimples).
Glue on the eyes. Then glue the
spots all over the body (be careful
with the placement so that it doesn’t
obstruct where you will place your
legs).
Stitch through the cuff of the legs so
that it is flat and not puffed out.
Cut 4 pieces of wire and stick
through the four body balls. Bend
over the sharp ends and whip stitch
the legs to the body.
Stitch the leaves to the stalk of the
flower then whip stitch the flower to
the top of the head.

You are now finished! I hope that it was

not too complicated for you to follow. I am
open to any ideas on how I can make it
easier to follow. If you are having any
difficulty I am happy to offer you
assistance.

This is the last Freebie Friday post until

November but in the interim, I do plan to upload posts for my paid patterns that will be
available in my Etsy store. These patterns will include my three little pigs set which is
from my upcoming fairytale series (which will consist of characters from various different
fairytales). I will also be uploading posts with patterns for characters from my Princess
and the frog series (these posts will be available on my Patreon page).

Super Mario phase 2 will consist of the following patterns:

1. Thwomp
2. Pirhana Plant
3. Petey Pirhana
4. Buzzy Beetle/Spiny/Spike Top
5. Toad/Toadette/Toadsworth
6. Birdo

10/13
7. Monty Mole
8. Swoop

Number 4 has three characters. This is

because the pattern for the three is
technically exactly the same but by
changing the yarn colours, then the
addition of one or multiple spikes you can
create three different characters. So this
character is like a three in one. The same
is true for number 5 with Toad, Toadette
and Toadsworth. The base mushroom
pattern is the same but with a change in
yarn colours and the addition of clothes,
pigtails and accessories (such as the
glasses and cane) you can create three
different characters. Therefore, by the
end of this Phase two set, you will be able
to create 12 different characters with the
eight patterns provided.

I am very excited about starting this phase

and you will be able to see my progress as
I complete these characters on my
Instagram and Facebook pages over the
next few months.

Thank you for stopping by and until the

next time – happy crocheting!
