To our dear sister Rotary Club of Zamboanga City,

It is my deep regret that I cannot join you tonight due to my tied-up Rotarian
duties to our District. Nevertheless, on behalf of the Rotary Club of Midtown QC, I
congratulate your club for reaching its 75th anniversary, a feat that solidified your bond
to be like a pure diamond, reflecting a distinctive light into the world.  

Imaginative President Oliver Cheong, please convey to your members that it is our
wish to keep the ties between our clubs strong. We always look forward to joining you in
many more years of service in Rotary, like our mission at Simariki Island eight months
ago. Personally, it is one of the most meaningful and rewarding collaborations RC
Midtown QC has done among the service projects with our other sister clubs.

As we continue to provide service in our community and internationally, let us

strive to be purposeful, meaningful, and beneficial to inspire other people to join Rotary
whenever possible. May you draw comfort and strength from each other to ensure that
you preserve and continue your club’s legacy left by your late Past Presidents and push
the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City further to greater heights.

Our club may be more than a thousand kilometers apart, but the magic of our long-
distance sisterhood made us relate to others in a way that goes beyond being physically
together and is often more profound. Consider we are there with you because you are
always in the heart and mind of every Rotarian of the Rotary Club of Midtown QC.
