FROM THE ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES OFFICE

The ES/MS RIFA Soccer schedules for the cumulative festivals are posted on the ATAC blog and on ES/MS notice boards outside the offices. The festival venues have changed as of Monday, August 22nd so please check these carefully. Check the links in helpful shortcuts on the blog home page for exact details. The first RIFA League Cumulative Soccer festivals will be held this Saturday, September 10th. The boys festival in the morning will have all the Midgets C teams playing at CSA and the E1, E2 and G teams will play at ISM. The MS Girls festival will be played from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. at CSA this coming Saturday afternoon. Our younger MS and ES soccer teams compete in the 7 aside cumulative festivals each year. This year ISM has 4 teams in the Midgets C division, 2 teams in the E division and 1 team in the G division. Match results in each of the festivals count toward a cumulative win/loss record and thus whether teams advance to the finals in October. The festivals are busy and full of action, please ensure your child has a towel, water bottle and sun screen with them on this day. Ground conditions at CSA on their grass fields can be quite wet and muddy. The kids love it but parents, please be warned to bring some old shoes with you if it rains during this week as the fields will be wet! Cross Country news: Please note the ISM Cross Country race that was to be held this Saturday has now been moved to Friday, September 30th at ISM. We will host twilight races with a 3.2km and 5km race for MS and HS runners from Faith/ISM and Brent schools. We are looking for parent volunteers to assist with finish line tasks and course marshalling duties on September 30th. If you are available to help, please tell your child to inform their coaches. Race results from the Brent cross country meet held last Saturday will be posted to the blog as soon as we receive them this week from the Brent race organizers. It was great to see so many ISM runners at Brent last Saturday morning giving their best and supporting each other in the MS and HS races. Well done Bearcat runners on a great performance! Varsity Soccer Exchange: This Saturday and Sunday, ISM will host teams from Taipei American School for the soccer exchange. Swim Meet at Brent: September 10 is also the first swim meet of the year at Brent for our sailfish team. As of writing this post, we have 73 swimmers registered to swim this week. We wish all sailfish swimmers the very best for their first race day this school year. GAME SCHEDULE PDF: (access to game schedule information) Information about all mid week/weekend fixtures for ISM teams can be found via the ATAC blog. Please note the game schedule does change often due to involvement with many local schools, so please check the page regularly to find out the latest information of where and when the Bearcats teams are playing. Click on schedules tab or the Bearcat logo to be directed to the http:// powerschool.ismanila.org/public/. You will need your PowerSchool username and password to access the game schedule pdf. The ATAC Blog (http://atac.ism-online.org/) is the one stop shop for information related to the sports/activities program. Please take some time to peruse the blog for information. For those parents interested in the 1st Season IASAS championships at Singapore, you can now access the full tournament draw with details of all events on the ATAC blog. Our teams will depart for Singapore Wednesday, October 19 and return to Manila Sunday, October 23.

Our very own Noah Ramos, 7th grader, reprises the lead role of Jojo in Repertory Philippines' production of Seussical. This is a colorful, fun-filled musical for the entire family. Hope you can catch Noah's performances until December 18th.
