The author uses short and simple dialogue using no rhyme. The reader learns the true
story of the wolf when he goes out door to door to get ingredients to finish up a
birthday cake for his grandma.

Who is the main character?
How can the reader relate to the character?
Who are the supporting characters?
The main character is the wolf.
The reader is able to relate to the wolf in real-life situations where one side of the
story is often misheard getting misinterpreted.
The supporting character is the pigs.
Plot: Summarize the major events of the story (6 points)
The wolf is making a birthday cake for his grandma when he runs out of sugar. He
decides to see who can let him borrow some sugar so he can finish his cake. When he
visits the three pigs they all mistake his sneeze as him trying to blow their houses
down. Everyone in the town finds out and they publish an article calling him the “bad
wolf”.

The message of this book is to try hearing both sides of the story before assuming
things that are not what it seems.

different with the same word length.

Children understand the world through language and mental images. The book does a
great job showing facial expressions in the characters where no text is needed in order
to understand what is going on between the pigs and the wolf.

Why?

This book does send out a message going back to the book The Three Little Pigs where
we learn the truth behind the wolf’s intention to blow down three houses. The author
does a good job letting their readers be on their toes to see the end results whether or
not the wolf will finish up his cake.
