The students will be able to listen to and comprehend ideas and
vocabulary items related to the topic.
The students will be able to use terminology and ideas in a context that
is related to the topic.
The students will be able to read the material provided to them that
includes topic related concepts.
Not much writing will be included in this lesson.
The students have already discussed majors in the previous couple of
weeks. We have discussed last week that this week will be about jobs
and job interviews. The students were asked to do a “free” information
gathering about the topic.
We will have a discussion about what we know about the topic and
what each concept means. We will share ideas and terminology that we
discovered through our free information gathering.
I will be introducing the topic, some of the ideas, and terminology. I
will be including some personal examples. I will also ask the students
to talk about examples of their own since this is a speaking classroom.
It was already established that this class is extremely interactive.
Luckily, the class has a low number of students which will help
everyone to be as engaged as possible. I will be asking for examples,
personal experiences, and stories etc..

I be dividing the students into small groups. They will have a
discussion about the topic, how it is similar or different in their
country/culture, and we will also do some tasks in the same groups
then comparing answers/ideas.

Assessment
How will you assess their I will be using websites such as quizlet or Kahoot to answer some
learning of the objectives? questions. While this activity can act is a way of assessment, it is also
extremely competitive and fun.
At the end of the lecture, I will ask the students to use Flipgrid to
record themselves as if they are in a job interview. I will be providing
them with 2-3 questions to video respond to.
Closing
How will you help students We will be doing a general review. The students will be given a chance
recap the learning and link it to ask questions.
