PASSING VEHICLES. BOLLARDS MAY BE FIXED TO THE ROADWAY TO KEEP THEM IN POSITION.
ALTERNATIVELY THEY MAY BE STABILIZED WITH A BAG OF SAND OR GRAVEL ON THE BASE.

- THE TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS EACH SIDE OF THE WORKSITE SHOULD BE AT LEAST 30 METERS FROM THE START
OF THE WORKSITE APPROACH CLEARANCE AREA - GENERALLY AT THE START OF THE TAPER.

- THE TRAFFIC CONTROLLER SHOULD STAND WHERE THEY CAN SEE THE APPROACHING TRAFFIC FOR AT LEAST
1.5D METERS. THE TRAFFIC CONTROLLER SHOULD STAND FACING THE TRAFFIC BUT OUTSIDE THE TRAVELED
PATH SO THAT APPROACHING TRAFFIC CAN SEE THE CONTROLLER. IF THE SIGHT DISTANCE TO THE TRAFFIC
