REFLECTION:

Make a 1-paged reflection paper (Letter 8.5” x 11”). Below are the guide questions:

a. What do you think is the relationship between the Law and the Revelation of
God?

In our daily lives, the law protects us. The same responsibilities bind us all together.
Laws enable us to exercise the rights that have been granted to us.We have the ability
to exercise both our right to vote and our right to a good family life. We have a shared
obligation to uphold some things in addition to these rights in exchange for the law.
And, just as the Bible's Revelations of God contain a variety of laws and God's will
that we must obey in order to improve our love and relationship with him and for our
own good, the Bible's Revelations of God contain a variety of laws and God's will that
we must obey in order to improve our love and relationship with him and for our own
good. Personal development is also a result of obedience. Every command that God
gives us is for our own good, not just for his. It is for our own welfare that we are told
to obey. He knows what's best for us and how to help us become better people and
disciples of Christ.

b. Explain why obedience to the law is important.

Laws are rules that must be followed by all members of a community. Laws protect us
from harm and protect our rights as citizens from people, groups, and the government
itself. To safeguard our general safety, we have laws in place. Obedience to the law is
necessary because it protects people from harm, and it is unacceptable to injure
others. Without rules and regulations to follow, everyone will misuse their own
freedom. We will not be afraid to commit wrong if we know there will be no
consequences, and everyone will go crazy if the law does not intervene. Finally,
society requires law and order to function; without laws, chaos will ensue.
