1. What problems did Maia experience
during her travel to Brazil?

- Maia lived with her relatives Gwendolyn and Beatrice which made her life being in
prison.

2. What are the characteristics of


Gwendolyn and Beatrice? Compare them.

- The twins according to the story are selfish, greedy and a bully. They took Maia just for
the small money she inherit from her dead parents and also made Maia’s life worse.

3. What life lessons did she learn from


her friends Finn and Clovis?

- That working hard is the best revenge one can do and you can always rely on your friends
that will help you on your problems.

4. What type of conflict did you find in


the story? Explain your answer.

- There a lot of conflictsin the story that focuses on different characters. Maia was abused
by her relatives, Clovis was kicked out from his acting school, and Finn is being hunted
to inherit the throne.

5. What lesson/s learned from the story?

- Friends are always important as they will always help you no matter what challenges you
are facing.
