Indian/Asian Elephant

The indian elephant is the same species as the asian elephant, which are smaller compared
to the african elephants. The asian elephants also has smaller ears and a rounded back.
The indian elephant is also much easier to tame and train than their african relatives.
They are very huge creatures, being able to become 2,9 meters tall and weigh 4,7 tons at
average.
They mostly eat different kinds of plants and are herbivores, meaning they only eat things
that arent meat.
In the wild they usually live to be 40 years old but can become 70 years old in captivity. The
biggest threat to asian elephants (and other types of elephants) are poachers who hunt and
kill elephants for their tusks. Otherwise the only other threat are tigers, who can eat
elephant babies but not adult elephants. They are too huge and have big tuskts to defend
themselves. They do not hibernate through the winter.

Their trunk has 150,000 muscles, meaning it is very strong.

They communicate through vibrations, like trumpeting with their trunk.
