Description
Executive summary
American regulations (FAA) require the installation of the Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System
(TCAS) (Aeronautical Radio Incorporated (ARINC) 735) on the basis of Mod. No. 23511P3055 (Service
Bulletin No. A320-31-1035) (COMPLETE PROVISIONS FOR TCAS II). This new airborne system will
provide a collision avoidance capability that operates independently from the ground control. This Service
Bulletin installs:

ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation (config 01)
1. Make sure that the aircraft is electrically grounded, (Refer to AMM 12-34-24 Page block 201).
2. Put the access platform(s) in position.
3. Open the avionics compartment door 824, (Refer to AMM 52-41-00 Page block 201).
4. Open the FWD cargo compartment door 825, (Refer to AMM 52-30-00 Page block 201).
5. Remove the partition panels 131CW and 131DW, (Refer to AMM 06-41-53 Page block 1).
1. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits, (Refer to AMM 24-41-00 Page block 201).
2. Remove the safety clips and tags and close this circuit breaker :
3. Do the EIS start procedure (EFIS only), (Refer to AMM 31-60-00 Page block 201).
4. Get the PFD and the ND image. To do this, on the ADIRS CDU, set the OFF/NAV/ATT
selector switches to NAV and align the IRS, (Refer to AMM 34-10-00 Page block 201).

6. On one MCDU, push SYSTEM REPORT/TEST NAV menu page, (Refer to AMM 31-32-00 Page
block 501).

(a) Config. 01 thru Config. 04
1. On the ADIRS CDU, set the 3 OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to OFF.
2. On the Panels 301VU and 500VU, set the ND and PFD potentiometers to OFF.
3. On the center pedestal, on the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN
indication until the MCDU MENU page comes into view.
a) Make sure that the work areas are clean and clear of tools and other items of equipment.
b) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits, (Refer to AMM 24-41-00 Page block 201).
c) Install the partition panels 131DW and 131CW, (Refer to AMM 06-41-53 Page block 1).
d) Close the avionics compartment door 824, (Refer to AMM 52-41-00 Page block 201).
e) Close the FWD cargo compartment door 825, (Refer to AMM 52-30-00 Page block 201).
f) (f) Remove the access platform(s). (g) Restore the
