INSTRUCTIONS

1. Please DO NOT OPEN the Contest Booklet until the Proctor has given permission to start.

2. TIME: 1 hour 30 minutes

3. There are 25 questions:

Questions 1 to 15 score 2 points each, no points are deducted for unanswered question and
1 point is deducted for wrong answer.
Questions 16 to 25 score 4 points each, no points are deducted for unanswered or wrong
answer.

4. Shade your answers neatly using 2B lead pencil in the Answer Entry Sheet (AES).

5. PROCTORING: No one may help any student in any way during the contest.

6. Calculators and electronic devices capable of storing and displaying visual information are
NOT allowed during the contest.

7. All students must fill and shade their Name, School, Class and Index Number in BLOCK
LETTERS in the Answer Entry Sheet (AES) and Contest Booklet.

8. MINIMUM TIME: Students must remain in the contest hall for at least 1 hour.

9. MARKING SCHEME:
- Points will be given based on the answers written on the Answer Entry Sheet.
- For the last 10 questions (Questions 16 to 25), working MUST be shown to avoid any
deduction of points (even when your answer is correct).

10. Contest Booklets are NOT ALLOWED to be taken back. Your booklets are needed for marking
purposes.

11. In the event of any discrepancy between the 3 language versions, the English version shall prevail.
