What if i told you that school is basically a prison, i mean they keep kids locked up physically and

mentally, prepare them for jobs that are also basically a prison until they retire and go to nursing
home... The final prison. Ladies and Gentlemen today on this speech we have “School” an ancient
institution that have outlived its usage, killed creativity,individuality and intellectually abusive. The one
responsible for turning millions of people into robot.

Here’s a modern day phone, Here’s a phone 150 years ago, big difference right? Here’s a modern
TV, and here’s a TV 150 years ago, still a big difference right? Well get this. Here’s a class from today,
and here’s a class we used 150 years ago, knowing that’s a shame... It literally more than a century but
nothing has change. Yet they claim to prepare students for the future? But what evidence i must ask...
Do they really prepare students for the future? Or the past? I did a background check on this one and let
the record shows that Modern Day Schooling is specifically made to train people to work on factories.
Which explains why they put students in a row nice and neat, telling to seat still, raise your hand if you
want to speak, give them a short break to eat, and for 8 hours a day tell them what to think. Oh, and
make them compete for high grades, a numbers that determines your worth in the class. I get it those
times are different , we all have that past I myself are no exception but today we don’t need to make
robot zombies, the world has progressed and now we need people who think creatively, innovatively,
critically, independently, with the ability to connect. See, every scientist would tell that no two brains
are the same so please explain why they teach the same thing, the same way in every student that each
one having different strengths, different needs, different gifts and different dreams. Let me give you an
example, if a doctor prescribed the exact same medicine to all of his patients, the result will be tragic, so
many would get sick, yet when it comes to school this is exactly what happens, this... Educational
Malpractice.

Less to mention on how school treats their employees... It’s a shame, i mean teachers have the
most important job on this planet, yet... They’re Under Paid, No wonder so many students are Short
Changed. Let’s be honest, teachers should earn just as much as doctors because doctors can do heart
surgery to save the life of a kid but a great teacher can reach the heart of that kid and allow him to truly
live. See, teachers are heroes that often get blamed, but they aren’t the problem, they work in a system
without many options or rights. Curriculums are created with policy makers, most of which that never
thought a day on their life, just obsessed with standardised test and think just answering a multiple
choice questions will determine success. Ladies and gentlemen on this class if we continue down this
road the results will be lethal. I don’t have much faith in school but i do have faith in people, and if we
can customize bikes, cars and Facebook pages then it is our duty for education to upgrade and change it,
We should work on to bring the spirit out of each in every student. Let’s raise the core on every heart in
every class, your matches are important, but no more than art or dance let’s give every gift an equal
chance. I know this sounds like a dream but countries like Finland are doing impressive things. They have
shorter school days, teachers make a decent wage, homework is non existence. They focus on
collaboration instead of competitions. But here’s a kicker boys and girls, their educational system are
performed every other country in the world, other places like Singapore succeeding rapidly, schools like
montessori, programs like khan academy. There is no single solution but lets keep movin because while
students maybe 20% of our population, they are 100% of our future so let’s attend to their dreams and
there’s no telling what we can achieve.
