SETTING: CLASSROOM

[Chatter and gossips fills up the room, students doing their own business]

--- ROSALIE ENTERS THE CLASSROOM AND SITS BESIDE NATHAN ---

ROSALIE
*Takes the pack from Nathan*
So this is the one you bought during the weekends?

NATHAN
Yup! I was looking for a new game and found this.

ROSALIE
Ooh… what kind of game is it?

NATHAN
I dunno, I didn’t ask.

--- ENTER LIA ---

LIA
You should’ve asked, dimwit!

NATHAN
Well I’m sorry I didn’t know it was necessary!

LIA
How ‘bout I show you how necessary it is!

--- ENTER EZEKIEL AND KEVIN ---

EZEKIEL
What’s with the commotion?

ROSALIE
Nate has a new card game.

KEVIN
*Grabs the deck from Nathan*
Ooh! Bloody Garden, this sounds nice. How ‘bout we play it now?

EZEKIEL
*Snatches the deck from Kevin and hands it to Nathan*
We can play this later after lunch. But right now you two should go back to your seats, Ms. Ana will be
here soon.

ROSALIE
Is Mr. Reyes absent?

KEVIN
Yeah, he informed Kiel on messenger that he caught a fever.

ROSALIE
Oh… well then let’s play after lunch. We’ll get two entire hours of playing, sounds good right Li?

LIA
*Rolls eyes*
Fine

--- TRANSITION TO KIM, ZYREIL ---

KIM
I bought this new foundation yesterday, it matches my skin tone don’t you think?

ZYREIL
It does suit you… if you wanna look like a ghost.
*looks at iris*
Can you get my bottle, it’s so hot in here!

KIM

ZYREIL

--- TRANSITION TO RYAN, CLAIDEN AND DYWANE ---

RYAN

*smacks Claiden behind the head*

--- TRANSITION TO NEIL, KATE AND STACEY ---

NEIL
*massages Kate’s hands*

KATE
Love, it doesn’t hurt. Seriously it’s not a big deal

NEIL
*kisses Kate’s knuckles and smiles*

STACEY
*Looks disturbed*

KATE
Oh hey Stace, how’s your day?

STACEY
Just the usual, though I’ll just leave you two lovebirds alone.

--- TRANSITION TO KIM, JEAN AND AGATHA ---

JEAN
So the x value goes here?

AGATHA
Yup and then you transpose it so it becomes negative

JEAN
You also have to divide it with the value before you get the answer

AGATHA
Huh, makes sense
SECOND SCENE
SETTING: CLASSROOM, LUNCHTIME

NATHAN
Okay, let’s start. This game consists of 16 cards, and each of us will be given a card with a truth or dare.
Whoever gets the truth cards has to confess whatever the question is and follow the orders on who gets
the dare card.

KIM
In order to make it more fun, let’s play ‘spin the bottle”. When the bottle stops, the two players decide
who will ask truth or dare and who will answer and obey.

KEVIN
I’m excited!

LILY
Nathan pass the cards now

--- Nathan distributes the cards ---

NATHAN
Now it’s time to spin the bottle!

*leans to a certain someone and almost kisses said person*

--- TEACHER JOPERSON ARRIVES ---

MR. REYES
What is this mess? Everybody arrange your tables and chairs and go back to your seats!

--- EVERYONE GETS UP AND STARTS ARRANGING THE TABLES AND CHAIRS ---

THIRD SCENE
SETTING: AFTERNOON 5PM, AFTER SCHOOL

[Everyone is going home, except Nathan]

ROSALIE
Hey Nate, we’re going home now, you sure you don’t wanna come with us?

NATHAN
Sorry, I’ve got a lot of papers to check first

LILY
Okay take care, just lock the door before you leave

THE REST WHO FINISHED CLEANING

Bye Nate!

NARRATION:

It was already nearing 6 pm when Nathan finished checking papers. He looks at his phone, he places the
papers on the desk and prepares to go home. Nathan switches of the light switch, he was about to step
out of the classroom when he felt a heavy feeling behind him.

He looks over his shoulder and saw a hooded figure standing near the curtains. Nathan felt his heart
pounding hard as he quickly switched on the lights, however to his surprise he saw nothing there. He
was confused, he was sure someone was there earlier, hesitantly Nathan turns off the lights again to
find no one; the figure wasn’t there anymore. He did this one more time and nothing appeared, sighing
in relief, Nathan turns off the light one more time and prepares to leave, however an arm quickly
wrapped itself around Nathan’s neck, choking him and pulling back inside.
He was scared out of his wits when he saw a pair of sharp scissors in the killer’s hand, Nathan tried to
get out of its grasps, he eventually succeeded but was stabbed on the back in the process. He struggled
to get up and walk, as he was nearing the stairs the killer pushes him and his head hits the ground hard.

--- A FEW HOURS LATER ---

Cy and Iris were laughing as they walked towards the SHS building, by the time they took steps up stairs
they saw Nathan’s bloodied body lying on the stairs and got scared to their wits.

SCENE 4
SETTING: CLASSROOM, NEXT DAY

[Rosalie enters the classroom; she looks confusingly at everyone inside who were unusually quiet. Then
she noticed police officers outside. She went to her seat, eyes still on the officers talking to their adviser
as Rosalie puts down her bag and sat down. Confused, she turns to Agatha.]

ROSALIE
Hey, why’re the police here?

AGATHA
*shrugs*
Dunno, but if anything I don’t think it’s any good

ROSALIE
*Looks at Nathan’s chair*
That’s weird, Nathan’s later than usual. He’s usually the first one here.
Maybe he caught a cold.

*Police finishes their talk with Ms. Rivera (Alexa) before she returns to the classroom*

MS. RIVERA
Everyone, I have some unfortunate news. Mr. Nathan Rodriguez was found dead here, at school.

*murmurs and gasps*

ROSALIE
Dead? Sir what do you-

MR. RIVERA
He was found dead on the stairs, Cy and Iris found him this early morning.

*the murmurs intensify*

“Dead?”

“No way, he was alive just yesterday!”

 “oh my gosh someone died in school!”

“Poor Nate, he was a good guy.”

DWAYNE
Yes, no class!

ZYRIEL
*Glares at Dwayne*
Be serious

MS. REYES
Unfortunately, without the notice from the higher-ups we will not suspend any classes.

*Rosalie looks at Ezekiel and he looks at her. Then she averts her gaze up front and camera zooms in on
her*

--- The bell rings (shows the bell) ---

SCENE 5
SETTING: CLASSROOM, FREE TIME

EZEKIEL
I don’t understand, how can Nathan be dead?!
*Looks at everyone*

KIM
Maybe he was ill and kept it a secret.

ROSALIE
I don’t think so, if he was ill then he should’ve been pale and won’t be so active. But Nathan is always
active in PE, he was our best runner.

NEIL
So? It’s not like it matters now since he’s dead.

EZEKIEL
Bro how can you say that! You act like Nathan isn’t our friend!

NEIL
Well it’s not like mourning can solve anything!

KATE
Love stop it—
 EZEKIEL
You say that so easily like you’re heartless
*Walks towards Neil*
For all we know it could’ve been you who killed him.

NEIL
Are you calling me a killer?
*Pushes Lester*

EZEKEIL
Well from earlier you sounded like you do
*about to pounce*

NEIL
You little… *Closes in*

LILY
Hey stop it! *Pushing Ezekiel away from Neil and Kevin*

ROSALIE
GUYS STOP! Arguing and fighting against each other won’t help anything, our friend had passed away or
either murdered. Can’t you even see the possibilities that we might become the next target?? So,
instead of bickering, try to be more rational.

*The room goes silent*

KATE
But still shouldn’t have done that.

NEIL
I know *holds Kate hand and looks at her*
I’m sorry

STACEY
*Looks at them and sighs*
Hey, you two go without me. I dropped something on the way

KATE
You sure? We can go back together if you like

STACEY
*Shakes her head*
No, I’m fine you guys go ahead.

KATE
No, I insist we’ll wait for you
 STACEY
Alright, if you say so

Stacey walks back to the second building, she looks around and the camera sits still beside Stacey, after
a few seconds a shadow/person walks hastily or calmly towards the door that was opened (killer) The
killer then touches the doorknob once he/she had reached inside the classroom, slowly closing then
after a few seconds he/she would close the door rapidly, producing a wild bang which startles.

Stacey senses something strange, she brushes it off. Gets her pen that was on the table, she was about
to walk away when the door releases a loud bang!

Stacey looks over her shoulder to see a hooded figure/silhouette a meter away from her.

Scared she runs, but then she found herself tripping and eventually Aliyah catches up, she picks up a
rock.

STACEY
*Screams*

Aliyah hits her with it.

KATE
*hears the scream*
Did you hear that?

NEIL
Sounds like a scream

KATE
Stacey!
*runs back to 2nd floor*

NEIL
Kate wait up!
*runs after her*

They went up the stairs and found Stacey (Narlyn)

KATE
Oh my gosh Stacey!
*about to run towards her*

NEIL
*Grabs hold of her*
Kate, stop, stop, she’s…

KATE
No… *cries*
 NEIL
C’mon, let’s go—
*Aliyah grabs Allam by the shoulder and pulls him away from Paulyn. He hits the ground,
holding one side of his head*

KATE
NEIL!
*Looks at Aliyah*
Who are you?

--- Aliyah slowly steps forwards to Paulyn ---

Paulyn gets scared and runs. Aliyah catches up and pushes her against the railings, choking her.

KATE
Please… don’t kill me

*Allam grabs aliyah and swings her away from paulyn, but aliyah pushes paulyn off the railings
before allam swung her away.*

NEIL
KATE! *Eventually grabs hold of her hands*

KATE
Neil!

NEIL
I’m here I’m here don’t let go I’ll pull you up-

*Aliyah stabs him in the back*

NEIL
You.. How dare you-

*Aliyah stabs him once, then stabs him twice, she then stabs him one last time*

*Allam drops to the ground*

SCENE 6
SETTING: POLICE STATION

OFFICER ROBIE
I can’t believe it, there kills in just one night

OFFICER CRIS REY

I know, it seems like the suspect is just playing.

CHIEF TROY
Do we have a lead already?

OFFICER LAINGO
No sir, no murder weapons were found. But the victims were holding the cards.

CHIEF TROY
Jesus, that’s pretty useless. Is that all?

OFFICER LAINGO
Unfortunately, yes sir.

CHIEF TROY
Bring them to the morgue. Find their parents, must be another petty suicide.

SCENE 7
SETTING: CLASSROOM, AFTERNOON

--- Camera pans towards the students as they huddled to discuss who the suspect is ---

ROSALIE
Suicide?! How can it be a suicide?!

JEAN
You heard them, KATE, Neil and Stacey killed themselves on the second building.

RYAN
And you would honestly believe that? Neil would never commit suicide, and neither would Kate and
Stacey!

ROSALIE
Guys, what if they didn’t kill themselves?

EZEKEIL
What do you mean, Rose?

ROSALIE
 What if… What if they were murdered

*Silence*

AGATHA
There’s a killer on the loose?!

KIM
That might be possible, the news said so.

ALLEN
Crap, we are so dead.

CY
But why us?!

IRIS
Yeah, what did we do?

CLAIDEN
It’s really confusing. ‘see’s Niko’ Hey why are you so quiet? Do you know any of this?

NICO
Beats me, I don’t know anything. But I can smell revenge.

LIA
Revenge?! How do you say so? You! You plotted this, didn’t you? You were quiet the whole
time.

KAI
What?

LIA
Well, I could give you a reason. Maybe, you’re the killer since you’re an orphan and you were
bored so you’re killing us.

LILY
Hey stop that, that’s so rude. We don’t know anything. Stop accusing anyone without any proof.

RYAN
It’s probably that killer who did this.

JEAN
Agree, that’s our safest bet.

EZEKIEL
Yep, we should all be really careful
 KENT
I think we should all go home early today.

SCENE 8
SETTING: THE NEXT DAY

AGATHA
Kai’s not here
*Looks at Nico’s chair*

LIA
Well duh, why would a killer stay long if he got exposed? Of course he’ll run away.

ROSALIE
We don’t have any proof that he is that killer, and that wasn’t nice of you to accuse him of something
like that

ZYREIl
I’m with Lia, I mean, don’t all serial killers start off as quiet kids? And kai is like… *Gets her water bottle*
the only introvert who gives off a serial killer vibe. *She drinks after talking*

LIA
See? Even Zy agrees with me.

AGATHA
Well… If he was the killer, the shouldn’t we all be dead by now? I mean, you’ve always treated him like
crap.

LIA
*Walks closer*
Are you saying I’m the reasons why this is happening to us?

AGATHA
Oh no… *steps forward* I’m just saying that if he were the killer then he should’ve killed his number one
perpetrator and that is you.

LIA
*Stares at Agatha intensely*

ZYREIL
C‘mon guys let’s - *Swallows omit and holds her stomach*

LIA
Zy? What’s wrong?
*worried*
 ZYREIL
*Action ug suka pero pungan gamit ug kamot*

ROSALIE
Zy? Are you okay—

LIA
Are you stupid?! She’s obviously not!

AGATHA
Bring her to the clinic!

ZYREIL
*runs out of the classroom*

LIA, ROSALIE, AGATHA

ZY!

--- Bathroom ---

*The door to the bathroom bursts open, Zyreil quickly throws up on the sink*

LIA
Oh my gosh Zy, what’s wrong with you?
*caressing Allen’s back*

ZYREIL
I-I don’t know… I just drank water—
*starts coughing blood*

LIA
Hey! Are you alright?! Why are you vomiting blood?!

--- Zyreil then collapses as she tried to utter her final words ---

LIA
Zyreil?! Zyreil?!

--- The scene then flashes into black as Lia tried to scream at the top of her lungs for help ---

Narration: Then the lights flickered, Lia was scared and confused. But as the lights went off and darkness
enveloped the building, she saw a hooded figure walking pass the bathroom.

The lights were on again.

LIA
*Stands up*
Hello? Is someone there?! Please help my friend’s life is in danger!
 *Lia runs and is now at the hallway*

NARRATION: No one was there, slowly Lia walks through the darkness, she halts at the middle of a
second room. Lia was confused, swearing to herself that she did, in fact saw someone pass by. She turns
around and gets startled when Agatha (Arrianne) was there, she sees the killer holding a pair of scissors
in an icepick hold.

LIA
Hey, why are you holding scissors?

--- The killer says nothing and quickly swung the scissors in her hand, Lia gets startled by the sudden
attack and attempts to run away when she trips and stumbles on the ground. She was about to stand up
and run when Agatha takes her by the leg and begins dragging her towards herself. Lia felt fear creeping
into her system and screams as Agatha stabs her.

SCENE 9
SETTING: NEXT DAY, MORNING

--- Mr. Reyes (Joperson) stands beside the door frame and knocks ---

MR. REYES
Miss Rivera

--- Alexa looks up from the papers she has on the table ---

MS. RIVERA
Mr. Reyes, what can I help you?
*stands up from her seat*

--- Mr. Reyes enters the room ---

MR. REYES
I noticed your students are getting fewer. And some of them are quitting as well.

MS. RIVERA
Yes, me too. Lots of horrible things have happened to them. And now Zyreil and Lia are missing!

MR. REYES
They’re missing?!

MS. RIVERA
Yes, their parents called me last night. They said their daughters hadn’t come back home. And I checked
the CCTVs last night, they weren’t inside the school either.

MR. REYES
*shocked*
Did they at least inform the police?
 MS. RIVERA
That’s the thing! The police didn’t believe them!

MR. REYES
What?! Then what should we do know?

MS. RIVERA
Shhhh! You’re being too loud! For now, I don’t know what we should do. But what do you this. But we
mustn’t let the students know.

MR. REYES
Alright, I won’t tell anyone. But what do you think is causing all of this?

MS. RIVERA
I dunno, but something tells me that it’s because of the recent events happening in the school.

MR. REYES
Is that why some of your students are quitting?

MS. RIVERA
I think so…

--- Little did they know; Rosalie had overheard their conversation ---

SCENE 10
SETTING: AFTER CLASS, 5PM

KIM
You have got to be kidding!

ROSALIE
I’m not! Zy and Lia’s parents called Miss last night. She told Mr. Reyes they were missing!

EZEKIEL
Then why didn’t they report it to the police?

ROSALIE
They did, but Ms. Rivera said the police didn’t believe them.

EZEKIEL
Of course they didn’t! For all we know the police ruled it as suicide when obviously our friends are being
killed!

KEVIN
How can you be so sure about that?!
 EZEKIEL
It’s obvious! Don’t you think it’s strange that these things are happening and only our class is affected!

ROSALIE
Are you saying that our friends were murdered?

EZEKIEL
And the killer is one of us.

ROSALIE
Impossible! How can you accuse us like that?! Our friends would never—

EZEKIEL
Wake up Rose, don’t you see? Our friends are getting killed one by one ever since we started that damns
card game Nathan bought!

KEVIN
You think… this is the game’s doing?

--- Silence, everyone looks at Ezekiel ---

SCENE 11
SETTING: AFTER SCHOOL, ALMOST 6pm, CLASSROOM

SOMEONE
Hey, lils throw the trash out!

LILY
Yeah yeah, I’ll throw it out!
*Grabs the trash can and exists the classroom*

--- Lily finished throwing the trash, she walks back to the classroom. However, she sees Ryan lying on the
ground covered in blood. A hooded figure was standing beside the dead body; it places a card into
Ryan’s (Rayyl) chest pocket. In fear Lilly drops the trash can, Kim (Aliyah) snaps her gaze and saw her. Lily
quickly dashes, making her way towards the bathroom that was out of order. She hid herself for a few
moments until she deemed it safe to come out and run away, as Lily slowly went out of her hiding place.
The door to the bathroom opened, a hand covered her mouth and pulled her inside the bathroom ---

SCENE 12
SETTING: MORNING, NEXT DAY

--- Rosalie enters the classroom, eyes trail off at the empty seats and the countable amount of students
in the room ---

*Ezekiel is behind her*

 EZEKIEL
I told you

ROSALIE
*turns to Ezekiel*
What do you know?

EZEKIEL
*Gestures with his head*
Follow me

*outside classroom*

ROSALIE
Alright, start talking Eze

EZEKIEL
Fine, remember that game Nathan brought?

ROSALIE
What about it?

EZEKIEL
It’s the starting point of all of this!

ROSALIE
And your proof?

EZEKIEL
The cards, every card had flowers. Have you noticed?

ROSALIE
I…I think so, but—

EZEKIEL
The flowers have meanings, Rose. Every single one of them, I remembered Nathan had this weird red
flower card or something. I searched it up, it was a poppy.

ROSALIE
Okay then, what’s the connection—

EZEKIEL
Poppies mean death, Rose.

ROSALIE
… What?
 EZEKIEL
I searched it up, it says poppies are flowers that symbolize death. I had the heliotrope, devoted
affection. What’s yours?

ROSALIE
White Chrysanthemums, truth. Does that mean one of the players is the killer?

EZEKIEL
Obviously…

ROSALIE
Then does that mean we’ll get killed too?

EZEKIEL
I don’t know… maybe we will.

--- Silence for three seconds ---

ROSALIE
We need to find the killer.

EZEKIEL
And how are we going to do that?

ROSALIE
We need to find Kai.

EZEKIEL
Kai? Why him?

ROSALIE
He’s the only one who knows something about the killings.

EZEKIEL
Alright, we’ll corner him later.

--- cue tense music ---

SCENE 12
SETTING: AFTERNOON, 5PM

--- Kai (Nico) was sitting peacefully when Rosalie and Ezekiel approached him ---

ROSALIE
Kai, can we talk to you for a second?
 KAI
*Looks at Rosalie then at Ezekiel, and then back to Rosalie*
Fine.

--- OUTSIDE ---

KAI
So what do you wanna talk about?

ROSALIE
The killings, what do you know about them?

KAI
Are you suspecting me?

EZEKIEL
No, we’re not suspecting you of anything. We just want to know if you had any idea of what’s
happening, Kai.

KAI
Oh, sorry for misunderstanding. Unfortunately, though I don’t know anything about the killings.

ROSALIE
Not even one?

KAI
I only saw Nathan’s; I don’t know who the killer is. But I do know that it’s one of us.

ROSALIE
What?

EZEKIEL
Unbelievable

KAI
I’m being serious, the killer is one of us!

ROSALIE
If the killer really is one of us… then how can we figure out who they are?

EZEKIEL
Well if the killer was decided by flower cards… then we’ll just find the flowers that symbolizes a killer.

KAI
Well… there is this one flower that I know that ha a similar meaning.

ROSALIE
And that is?
 KAI
Aconites, so if we find the person who’s got the aconite card then we have our killer.

ROSALIE
Great! Then the three of us can finally get them red-handed!

KAI
Hey, I don’t plan on joining you two on finding the killer.

ROSALIE
What? Why not—

KAI
It’s dangerous! Do you think I’d be alive if I hadn’t kept my mouth shut!

EZEKIEL
Then it shows how much of a coward you are!
*grabs him by the collar*

ROSALIE
Eze stop! You two calm down let’s talk this out!

KAI
That’s right, I’m a coward. But if it means saving myself, then I don’t mind being selfish.
*swats Ezekiel’s hand*

KAI
I’m going, I already helped you so I’ll be going.

EZEKIEL
You’re going out?! There’s a killer on the loose!

--- Kai doesn’t listen and walks away ---

SCENE 13
SETTING: AFTER SCHOOL, 5 PM

--- KAI walks out of the classroom, as he runs away from the building, not looking back as he failed to
notice someone following him. He comes to a halt near a classroom as he sensed something strange, he
looks over his shoulder to find no one, so he continues walking. He then looks over again, this time he
saw the same hooded person who killed Nathan. Kai was scared and he bolts, trying to lose the killer. As
he ran through the empty classrooms he was slammed against a door and was stabbed on the stomach.

KIM
Hello Kai
*takes of her mask*
 KAI
I knew it was you… Kim

KIM
*smiles wickedly*
Bye-bye Kai

--- after the deed, Kim wipes the scissors she used ---

KIM
So annoying, just like everyone else. Too bad I couldn’t get Lia and Zy, but no matter.

--- She walks towards a wash area to remove the blood from her hands, she then feels a chill of
something dangerous which made her look over to her left to see Agatha (Arrianne) ---

KIM
*relief*
Oh, it’s just you

AGATHA
*laughs*
What’s got your head in a twist? It’s just me!

KIM
I see that, what’re you doing here?

AGATHA
Oh well, you did say you wanna borrow my notes. I’m just her to tell you that I placed it in your bag.

KIM
Oh, thanks!
*about to walk away*

AGATHA
Oh no, thank you for letting me kill Zy and Lia

--- Kim freezes, slowly turning around to face Agatha ---

AGATHA
*tilts her head*
And Lily too.

KIM
You… You’re the one who—

AGATHA
Killed them? Why of course, I would’ve killed the others to without your intervention.
 --- Transition to Rosalie and Ezekiel ---

EZEKIEL
Crap! That idiot is unbelievable, what if he gets himself killed?!

--- the two are running down the stairs ---

ROSALIE
I already called the police, they should be on their way!

--- the two searches for kai ---

*A FEW MINUTES LATER*

ROSALIE
Oh my gosh!
*Covers mouth*

EZEKIEL
Dammit, he’s dead

ROSALIE
If… If he died just earlier, then does that mean the killer’s here?

EZEKIEL
I think so…
*Ezekiel looks around and spots someone*

EZEKIEL
Hey, isn’t that…
*points at a specific direction*

ROSALIE
No way…
*Her away widen as she ran to that direction*

EZEKIEL
Rose, wait!
