Project Budget

Estimate the project costs. Include one time and permanent costs for personnel, consulting, hardware,
software, and other costs (training, consultants etc.) as applicable.

Materials Needed Description Budgeted Cost

One-Time Costs
Arduino Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on
the ATmega328P (datasheet). It has 14 digital
input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as
PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz
ceramic resonator (CSTCE16M0V53-R0), a USB
connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and a
reset button.
Ultrasonic sensor An ultrasonic sensor is an instrument that
measures the distance to an object using
ultrasonic sound waves. An ultrasonic sensor
uses a transducer to send and receive ultrasonic
pulses that relay back information about an
object's proximity
Arduino Wheel It is composed of soft black rubber with light
tread to add traction in rugged terrain. This wheel
requires an axis adapter, which bolts to the hub's
back and mounts to a motor. This adapter
(FIT0198) can mount to our Micro DC Geared
Motor with Back Shaft (FIT0016) perfectly.
Servo Motor A servo motor is an electromechanical device
that produces torque and velocity based on the
supplied current and voltage. A servo motor
works as part of a closed loop system providing
torque and velocity as commanded from a servo
controller utilizing a feedback device to close the
loop.
DC motor A DC motor is any of a class of rotary electrical
motors that converts direct current electrical
energy into mechanical energy. The most
common types rely on the forces produced by
induced magnetic fields due to flowing current in
the coil.

Battery A battery is a device that stores chemical energy
and converts it to electrical energy. The chemical
reactions in a battery involve the flow of electrons
from one material (electrode) to another, through
an external circuit. The flow of electrons provides
an electric current that can be used to do work.
Wire Jumper Jumper wires are electrical wires with connector
pins at each end. They are used to connect two
points in a circuit without soldering. You can use
jumper wires to modify a circuit or diagnose
problems in a circuit
Motor Driver Motor drivers acts as an interface between the
motors and the control circuits. Motor requires
high amount of current whereas the controller
circuit works on low current signals. So the
function of motor drivers is to take a low-current
control signal and then turn it into a higher-
current signal that can drive a motor.
Laptop A laptop, sometimes called a notebook computer
by manufacturers, is a battery- or AC-powered
personal computer (PC) smaller than a briefcase.
A laptop can be easily transported and used in
temporary spaces such as on airplanes, in
libraries, temporary offices and at meetings
Arduino Application The Arduino IDE is an open-source software,
which is used to write and upload code to the
Arduino boards. The IDE application is suitable
for different operating systems such as Windows,
Mac OS X, and Linux. It supports the
programming languages C and C++. Here, IDE
stands for Integrated Development Environment.
Plastic Bottle A plastic bottle is a bottle constructed from high-
density or low density plastic. Plastic bottles are
typically used to store liquids such as water, soft
drinks, motor oil, cooking oil, medicine, shampoo,
milk, and ink. The size ranges from very small
bottles to large carboys.
Wood Wood is a hard, fibrous structural tissue found in
the stems and roots of trees and other woody
plants. It has been used for thousands of years
for both fuel and as a construction material
Seeds The seed is the embryonic stage of the plant life
cycle. Most seeds consist of three parts: embryo,
endosperm, and seed coat. The embryo is a tiny
plant that has a root, a stem, and one or more
leaves. The endosperm is the nutritive tissue of
the seed, often a combination of starch, oil, and
