Victory Interview
Of the 50th Annual Hunger Games
Kai Albacore, victor of the 50th annual Hunger Games, sat down with Caeser Flickerman
yesterday to discuss his experience in the area along with some information about his
mentor, stylist, and emotions about returning home to District Four.

About the Arena:

During his victory interview, Kai
talked about what it was like in
the arena.
Lessons Learned
The most important thing I
Learned about myself during the
games was simply that I really do
love and appreciate all of my friends and
family back home. Every night, I would hold
my anchor necklace to my heart, hoping that
I would have the opportunity to return home
to them.
Worst Part
the worst part of being in the
arena is never knowing what
the next day will bring and if
you’re going to be alive or
not. I would always have a
hard time sleeping at night, as
I never knew if a mutt or
some “natural” disaster would come and
attack my allies and I. Many times,
everyone would be having a conversation
one second and then we would be racing
through the Jungle and away from mutts the
next.
Mutations
“That damn dragon! We have big
whales back in Four, but nothing nearly
as big as Mama. I remember how fast
my heart was beating as I grabbed her
egg and started rushing back to the
table. She ended up digging into my
entire back, but I did receive immunity
so I guess it was worth it.”

Victor’s Alliance:
the infinity alliance (d4, d5, d6, d11)
The Infinity Alliance was planned before the games even started. It was huge, consisting of
Flint Cornelian (d1), Waverly Aster (d2), Ocean Simpkins (d4), Mason Banner (d5), Gabriel
Rose (d6), Ashlynn Reid (d8), Eliana Luxand (d11), and of course our very own victor of
the 50th Hunger Games, Kai Albacore!
Over the course of the 8 days, the
alliance became smaller and smaller,
right up until there were only 3 of them
left. Ocean died on day 7 and but Kai
only outlived Gabriel by a matter of

Regrets:
The only real regret I have is looking back at
Gabriel at the feast. I don’t know what I was
thinking, but I lost an eye just from that
small movement. However, I’d rather have
one eye and be alive than have both and be
dead.

all able to share some skills from our

 Past and History of
Kai Albacore
We all know Kai Albacore as the boy from district four, the king of the Capitol, and of
course, the victor of the Second Quarter Quell. But who was he before he came to the
Capitol? Learn about Kai’s Life back in District 4!

Since he was young, Kai has worked on the boats

and waters of District 4, giving him experience with
identifying edible fish and with a trident. His was
born to a fairly wealthy family in comparison to
many of the other people in his district and was
better off than a large portion of districters.
Unfortunately, he still needed to tame out tesserae
because of the size of his family. He has 2 sisters
and a brother all of whom are younger than he it.
Kai and his parents did their best to get enough
resources to keep their family afloat and his friends
would describe him as selfless and a kind soul who
always cares for those in need.When he arrived at

Styling a Victor!
The winnings I’ve earned are more than I need, but
I won’t just use my winnings for my family and I.
My siblings have always wanted a dog, so I think
we can definitely work something out sooner or
later. I’m happy that my district will be getting a
big feast with an abundance of food! I think
everyone will appreciate something other than the
usual fish and bread loaves. I also plan on
donating some of my earnings to help my district’s
industry.

his private session, Kai showed the Gamemakers
his skills with a trident and net, which he had been
working with since he was young. He first threw his
trident at all of the dummies, piercing them in the
abdomen each time. Next, he used the trident and
net to catch and drag the the injured mannequins to
him from a far distance away. With the mannequins
near him, he climbed to the top of a pole with his
trident and net. He took one look at their positions,
turned to the Gamemakers, showing them his eyes
were closed. He threw his net first, trapping the
mannequin, and then stabbed the dummy in the
chest with his trident.
Mentoring a
Victor
We sat down with Kai’s mentor to
ask about their experience mentoring
a victor.
“I was stoked to find out Nathan won!
I had been hoping that he would win
and not have a death like Nathan’s
last year, and he really proved
himself!”

“I am so incredibly proud of you Kai!

You worked hard and showed
everyone who you are so the victory
was more than earned, it was
deserved. Now you get to be a mentor
and take on the games from a
different perspective.

Finding An Agent That’s Right For You
Panem Forever interviewed Kai’s mother Cordelia Albacore and his best friend Rio
Seaton during the family and friends interviews for the final eight tributes. Rio was
asked how it felt to see Kai in the games while Cordelia told us what she would say to
her son if she could speak to him.

“Honestly, it’s crazy seeing my best friend
fighting in that arena. I know that he
volunteered for a good reason, but it’s
terrifying whenever a mutt starts to chase him
and his allies or they’re being drawn into a
fight. I could barely watch when he was trying
to get that dragon egg. It wasn’t like anything
I’ve ever seen. Even though I know he has it in
him to win this, anything can happen in the
arena at any given moment. I can barely sleep
at night nowadays, knowing that my best friend
can be in danger at any given moment.”

“If I could tell Kai one thing right now, it
would be that we miss him so much and to
please keep fighting no matter what.
