We would like to say that ,Moments areche rished for the impression they make and
learning from such respected personality is one of the semoments.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our project guide Mr.
S.S.Managule sir. Follow safety Electrical rules for safe practices for continues guidance
during our project, and to the college, especially to the Electrical Engineering Department
for making its facilities available for us.
Finally,we would like to thank our Principal Dr.Sanjay Dabhole sir and collage
authorities for providing us with a platform to excel in life.
We are also thankful to the Library for providing necessary information for
preparation of this report and we take this opportunity to expressours incere thanks to all
the staffmember so Electrical Engineering Department for their when ever required.
Finally , we express our sincere thanks to all those who helped us directly in this project.
ThankingYou...........!
Brief introduction -
Integral to process control in many industries, level measurement sensors fall in to two main
types. Points level measurement sensors are used to mark a single discrete liquid height- a
preset level condition. Generally, this type of sensor functions as a high alarm, signalling an
overfills condition, or as a marker for a low alarm condition. Continuous level monitoring of
an entire system. They measure fluid level whithin a range, rather than at a one point,
producing an analog output that directly correlates to the level in the vessel.
As almost all industries, vast quantities of liquid such as water, solvents , chemical ,ect . are
used in number of processes. Liquid level measurement are widely employed to monitor as
well as measure quantitatively the liquid content in the tank , containers , vessels, reservoirs
or liquid columns. The liquid level affects both pressure and rate of flow in and out of the
container and therefore it's measurements/ control become important .
Definition -
level is defined as regulations of the linear vertical distance between the surface of a
liquid with some reference point.
Unit -
2. Some time it may be measured in volumetric level or in percentage (%) . Example. Fuel
level in fuel tank of automobile.
A. Direct method -
B. Indirect method -
2 . Electrical type
4 . Radar type

Part B - Microproject Report
Rationale -
In industry, engineering diploma holder ( also called technologiests) are expected to handle
basic instruments for the measurement of various process parameters such as temperature,
pressure, flow and level in different types of industries. The technologiests should be able to
select proper instruments for the measurement of above parameters and also maintain these
instruments for proper functioning in different applications. This course has been there fore
designed to develop this competency and related outcome.
Procedure /construction -
When the liquid level in the tank increases, the capacitance also increase and when the liquid
level decrease the capacitance decrease.
Literature Review -
Principle of working -
C = є A/ d
Where,
є - dielectric constant
This principle is use in the capacitive level gauge for detecting level change.
Advantages of capacitance level detector -
3. We learned the application , advantage and disadvantage of the capacitance level detector.
1. Effective communication
2. Team management
3. Time management
Conclusion :-
By performing this group activity of micro project of subject IME for semester fourth
in academic year 2020 - 2021.we preformed this given task on subject electical type
level measurement by using electric current successfully we conclude that,
