• NOTE: The following procedures can only be accomplished when the aircraft is
on the ground. Collins avionics can be configured directly through the Flight
Management System.

• Program the APM

• A) With power on the avionics.
• B) On CDU 1or 2, push the IDX button to display the INDEX page.
• Select DATALINK (LSK 2L)

 C) Select AOC CORP in APPLICATION MENU to display the DATALINK
MENU 1/2

• D) On CDU, push the NEXT button to display the DATALINK MENU 2/2

 • E) From this page , select ENABLED for AUTO POS RPT and OFF/ON RPT.
• Set the POS RPT TIME interval (from 1 to 30 min) for the position reports.
• NOTE : It is recommend to set time at 10 minutes and POS RPT ON GND to
DISABLED.
• Select RETURN.

 • F) Select TECHNICAL (LSK 5R) to display the TECHNICAL MENU

• G) Select PASSWORD (LSK 5R) to display the PASSWORD page.

 • H) Next to PASSWORD, insert the password (the password is the current time
• in HH:MM format) by writing the current time in the scratchpad and pressing
• LSK 1L.
• NOTE: Current time is displayed at the bottom of the CDU.
• I) The PROTECTED MENU page will now be shown.

 • J) Select APM MENU (LSK 1L) to display the APM MENU page.

• K) Select IDENT BLK PGM (LSK 2L) to display the IDENT BLK PGM page.

 • L) On page 1/5 enter aircraft registration on REG NUM line(2L) (do not enter
dash”-”)
• Enter XA on the AIRLINE ID line (3L).
• On page 2/5 enter ICAO ADDR (MODE S in hexa)(1L)
• On page 4/5 enter ADM (4L) (ISO 3166 region and state of registration)
• On page 5/5 enter ARS (same as ICAO ADDR) (2L)
• M) Select WRITE * twice (LSK 5R) and verify that “PROGRAMMING” is
displayed, followed by CONFIRMED. (for confirmed to be displayed,
transponder need to be ON)

 • N) Select RETURN up to PROTECTED MENU page will now be shown.
• O) Select VHF SCAN (LSK 3L) to display the VHF SCAN pages.

P) On VHF Scan page 1 select

• Q) Press the NEXT button to go to VHF Scan page 2.

• S) DE-SELECT everything else.
The avionics are now configured for operation with ARINCDirect.
