ACTIVITY DESIGN FOR THE LAC SESSION ON SPECIAL EDUCATION

I. RATIONALE

Pursuant to Republic Act 6759 otherwise known as “An Act Declaring August 1 of Each Year as Cane
Safety Day in the Philippines and other Purposes”, the theme for this year’s celebration is ‘’RIGHTS:
Access to Success’’. The eyes are organs that allow us to see. Many parts of our eye work together to
bring objects into focus and visual information to our brain. Several conditions and injuries can cause
changes in eyesight. Some conditions can lead to permanent vision loss.

II. OBJECTIVES

This LAC session aims to achieve the following:

1. To provide information to teachers about the importance of Sight Saving; and

2. To instill awareness on the welfare of blind persons.

III. DATE, VENUE, PARTICIPANTS, MATERIALS NEEDED AND ACTIVITIES

a. Date: August 12-13, 2019

b. Time Schedule: 8:00 to 11:00 PM

c. Venue: MAVHS- Conference Room

d. Participants: Teachers of MAVHS

e. Materials needed by each participant: Notebook and ballpen
