Interview preparation

1. Why USA?
-The prime reason why us is beacause I feel that for my subject of study US
universities have a lot more resourses which I believe to be fruitful for me. Along
with it US universities offer excellent research opportunities through many
assistantship porgrams as well as US degree have excellent international reputation
which can tremendously help me to advance my career. //{{Futthermore, the program
of interest is available only at limited institutions in Nepal and the quality of
the program is higher in the US.}}

2.Why this course?


-To be honest Im interested in studying about computer programming, designing and
developing new programs since school level. Also,as my goal is to become a
Network security engineer, studying Computer Science will help me to gain and
understand the required knowledge in the field of cyber security as it is a
field that is constantly evolving with new technologies all the time.

3.Future plans?
I have planned to return to my country and set my career as a network security
engineer in a reputed Nepali IT companies like Mercantile, F1soft International,
Link tree, and more. I also have a plan to establish my own IT Company in my
hometown later in the future but first I will be focusing on gaining experience by
working in different reputed IT companies.

4.Who are your sponsors?


My parents are financially stable and they will be sponsoring me for my study and
stay in the US. They have a saving of $60K dollars allocated for my study and.
My father owns a multiporse form called mahara multiporpose agriculture formm
under which he runs an orchard of 100 trees of pecan, 150 trees of wallnut, 80
plants of kiwi, 60 trees of lemon and goat farm from which he earns around 35k$
per annum. My mother is also financially stable. She owns a vegetable form and
earns around 12k$ per year.
In addition we also have a house where we receive $10k as rent per year.

5.Why this university?


This university was at the top of my list. Their Computer science department is
very reputed. The university continues to be an active participant in the
cybersecurity community, and is committed to advancing the field through research,
education, and collaboration with industry and government partners.Along with it
the combination of a experienced faculty, and location of this university make an
excellent choice for for me. So, Getting a degree from this university will improve
my skills and aslo add value to my resume which will help to get into good company
in my home country.

6.Where are you heading to?


I will be pursuing my bachelors in Computer Science with an emphasis in
Cybersecurity at Webster University in St.louis.

7.Why not Nepal?


The technology in Nepal is not up to date and the course curriculum is traditional
and it mainly focuses on theoretical knowledge rather than practical skill. We
don’t have global exposure and degree of Nepal have low employability.

8.Why not any other country?


In other countries tuition fees and living expenses is extremely high as there is
less scholarship opportunities for international students.

9.Why should I issue you visa?


I qualify for student visa and I will be using the visa for completing my
studies .I intend to depart the US after I complete my studies And, I have
sufficient resources to pay for my study and stay in the US.

10.What if I don’t give you visa?


I'll explore other options.

11.Your basis of return to Nepal?


My parents have huge investment in my education and being the only one child I have
plenty of responsibilities towards them. Along with the increasing need of skilled
manpower in the field of cyber security of Nepal, many jobs are being provided in
different reputed IT companies where I can seek employment.

12. Something about your course.


My course is Bachelor's in Computer Science with an emphasis in Cyber Security with
...credit hours in...years. This course is a specialized program that focuses on
the technical and theoretical aspects of securing computer systems and networks
from cyber threats.

The university has informed me that they will offer me a 50% scholarship on my
tuition fees, on the condition that I maintain my current GPA.
